TESTIMONY FROM BABA AJIROTUTU KAYODE [mp3]
Why do so many Christians believe in the power in the name of Jesus and what can it do for Christians that believe in it? What does this name even mean for many Christians? Christians believe that Jesus Christ has given Christians the right and authority to use his name. What this means is that Christians have been given the power of attorney as we say in Law. It is authorisation given by one person (Jesus Christ) permitting another (Christians) to take action on his (Jesus Christ’s) behalf.
The person in question may believe that he is “possessed” or being controlled by the demon against his will, however, this is not so. Demons only do what they do because they have been given permission. Because a person may believe otherwise, the ministry facilitator may need to stop the ministry session and put on his “orientation hat” and teach the person the truth about what demons can and cannot do.
Satan, along with all demons, was defeated 2000 years ago and all he has left is deception. Keeping in mind that deception is only as powerful as it is believed. We need to be “sober and alert”, but not because he might harm us, attack us or oppress us, but only that each of us are susceptible to his schemes. Demons cannot harm us, cause us to feel something, or act out upon us apart from our willful participation. He is very limited in what he may do since “…He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.” (1 Jo. 5:18) We need to be knowledgeable of how he operates and resist his “schemes”, but never fear anything that he could actually do, because he really cannot touch us. As the Apostle Paul declared, “no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes” (2 Cor. 2:11) Not being ignorant and operating in the truth seems to be the best warfare we can do.

PRINCIPLES OF PROFITABLE FOLLOWERSHIP
1. Profitable followership demands genuine connection and followership. Never follow an individual you cannot truly be committed and loyal to; it is a disservice to yourself.
2. Followership becomes profitable only when the learner or the follower remains a student. (Luke 6:40)
3. Profitable followership must factor in the limitations of the vessels that they follow. Never expect godlike perfection from the people you follow, you will be disappointed.
Guiding Principle for Models, References, and Pioneers:

All models must remain students themselves and never have an arrival mentality. The way models remain models is by continuing to be students while being models.

Humility is an antidote for shame and embarrassment.

What will make our generation different from other generations is not merely our prayers, fasting, or spiritual activities, it is a product of humility, alignment, and through an election of grace, that we receive delivery of the supernatural power of God from the realm of the Spirit, where it resides to the realm on earth where it is needed.
In essence, we do not pay the price Jesus Christ has already paid for us on the cross, we pay the price of alignment to receive delivery of what has been paid for.
