AGE DOESN’T MATTER EPISODE 12

I snuggled under my blanket, and packed my hair up in a bun, it’s been a day and I can’t tell how much alcohol I took but I’ve been puking since I got back from Jason’s house. Well thankfully alcohol doesn’t make me loose it unless I take more than I can carry, but I could control the little I took. And well thankfully everything has been flushed out, thanks to my pukes.
I laid under my blanket, and before I knew it I was fast asleep.

I stared at my window and the beaming sun, I was awake but I was feeling too lazy and sick to stand up. Well my head was strong and already up but my body was adamant.
I stayed on my bed for almost thirty minutes, before finally pushing the heaviness aside and got down from my bed. I felt heavy and I felt like puking too, a strong stupid head ache started to pound my head and I almost lost it.
I shouldn’t have drank last night, I’m pretty good with holding down my liquor but I’m not actually good the next day. This has happened two times for me and I know my body more than anyone.
I made white porridge soup for breakfast and it really helped with the way I was feeling, I was watching a movie when i fell asleep.

I woke up by 2pm which gave me a lot of time to get ready to work. My headache was gone, I felt like myself again and I couldn’t be more glad.
Dressed for work I ate jam and bread to help with the hunger I was feeling, and diluted the food with orange juice from the freezer.
I adjusted the shorts around my waist and hung my bag around my shoulder, locked the door and made my way to work.
The sun was burning hot, but I loved it! Because when I stepped under it, my body felt more alive again.
Thankfully there was no traffic today, so the bus drove smoothly and I got to the Huggins residence in no time.
Mrs Huggins hugged me happily and well I didn’t question that cause she’s always jittery and so nice.
I asked about Jason and she told me he has been in his room all day and he didn’t go to school. I didn’t ask why I just went to his room straight away.

I knocked softly on his door and I heard his low “come in”. I opened the door and walked in.

Jason was on his bed with his phone and he just glanced at him and then turned back to his phone without saying a word, I walked over to his study desk and placed my bag on it.
“So I heard you didn’t go to school today?” I asked bringing out my textbooks.
“Yeah I drank too much last night, and I just wasn’t myself when I woke up this morning!” Jason replied.
“Oh okay I understand, it was your birthday and it will be totally lame if you didn’t get wasted last time.” I nodded.
“So are you ready for today’s lesson?” I sighed sitting down and tapping the chair close to the one I was sitting, that was meant for Jason.

He sat up. “Honestly, I’m not!”
“Well sorry, but I can’t just go back home, and I’m very hungry right now, so if you make me talk less that would be better!” I tell him.
I am seriously hungry right now, and this is normal, cause I drank a lot so that’s how it always is with my body.

“Well you can go downstairs and make something for yourself in the kitchen, you can’t teach on an empty stomach!” Jason stated.
“Well thanks, but that will be inconvenient!” I said.
“Inconvenient to who?” Jason rolled his eyes.
“I came here to teach, not cook and eat!” I said.
He scoffed. “Okay fine, but I’ll be right back!”
Jason dashed out of the room before I could ask him where he was heading to.
I sighed and turned to the books on the desk, I checked the book contents for our next topic and as I flipped the pages finding the page for our new topic, the door opened and Jason walked in, well I didn’t actually see him walking in but I knew he was the one.
He placed a can of coke in front of me and a pizza box beside the coke.
“Since cooking is inconvenient for you, you can have these fast food instead, and I ordered this pizza three hours ago but couldn’t even dig in, and it might be a little cold, but I know you won’t mind that since you’re way hungry!” Jason said and opened the pizza box, revealing the round pepperoni shaped pizza, still intact and untouched.
Wow. Jason can be this nice?

“Wow!” I breathed out.
I looked up at him. “Thank you Jason!” I smiled. “I didn’t know you could be so nice like this”.
“I’m always nice!” he shrugged.
“Yeah not really, now sit!” I ordered and he sat down.
“Thanks for this anyways” I said moving the box of pizza away from the textbooks”.
“Yeah, it’s nothing, though you’re not really a nice teacher but that’s the least I could do!” Jason said and I sighed, there he goes again!
“You don’t know, but I’m the most nicest person you would ever know” I tell him.
“Don’t lie to me, I already know the truth!” he laughed.
“Let’s just focus on today’s topic okay!” I said not wanting to argue with him.
We started on our new topic and after showing him some examples, I gave him some questions to work on, while I leaned back on the chair and enjoyed my pizza.

“Looks like you’re enjoying your meal!” Jason turned to look at me.
“Yeah, like this is so good! I mean the flavours are just so perfect, and I’m also tasting a little bit of cheese in this too!” I nodded as I gulped down the can of coke.
Jason glanced at the pizza box and then turned to me. “Looks like you’re really hungry, it’s remaining just two slice of pizza left, it haven’t been a minute and yet and you’re already done with four pizzas” Jason chuckled.
“I don’t get why this is funny, and yeah I’m way hungry, I didn’t have time to prepare something for myself before coming here, and this is actually one of my side effect for drinking! It leaves a hole in my stomach!” I explained and Jason laughed.
“Just focus on your equation!” I tell him.
He turned back to his book while I continued my meal.
I pushed the last slice of pizza with the little amount of coke making a slurping noise which actually annoyed Jason cause I saw the way he glared at me.
“Focus on your book!” I widen my eyes at him and he shook his head negatively.
I breathed out a sigh of relief so full, thanks to Jason! I didn’t know he could be so sweet. Or maybe he’s just being nice because his birthday was yesterday? Or maybe I’m just thinking gibberish, every one has their good and bad sides.
“And done!” Jason said dropping his pen and moving his book in front of me.
“Good, now help me throw these out!” I grinned and handed him the empty pizza box and empty can.
“You’re welcome!” he rolled his eyes sarcastically as he took it from my hand.
“Good thing you know I’m thankful,” I smiled and tapped his arm twice.

Jason walked out to dispose what he was carrying, while I Turned to his book to check his work.
I sighed when I saw that Jason failed the whole question I gave him to solve and sat patiently, waiting for him to come Back.
But then my phone starts to ring and it was Neil.

“Hello!” I said as politely as I could.
“Elsa, hi, good afternoon!” I could feel his smile from the phone.
“HI, good afternoon to you too!” I smiled.
“So I guess you’re at work now right?”
“Yeah!” I replied.
“Okay, so I was wondering, if you’d let me drive you home today, I’ll be leaving work early and I just don’t want to go home yet, so I decided why not come pick you up and drive you home!” Neil said
Wow.
I beamed. “Wow, Neil, thanks, that is so generous of you!”
“Please don’t say no!” he said through the other line and I could feel my lips stretch.
“Of course, and why would I say no. The almighty Neil wants to drive me home, who am I to say no!” I teased making him laugh.
“Okay then I’ll be there by seven thirty!” he said.
“Perfect, my work ends by seven twenty!” I tell him.
“Okay then, have a great day Elsa!” he said.
“You too!” I replied and that was the end of the call.

“Neil? Was that your graduating boyfriend?” I heard Jason’s voice behind me and he immediately sat down beside me, well on his studying chair.
“It’s none of your business and what the hell is this?” I pushed his book in front of him so he could see what he solved.
“It’s the equation you gave me.” he replied.
“which you got wrong, all of them!” I half yelled. “I thought I was good at explaining things!”
He scoffed “You’re not, I asked who Neil is and you ignored that so how are you good with explaining things?”
I sighed. “Jason, can you be serious, for two minutes, if you can be serious for two second I’ll give you a dollar.!” I promised.
“No I don’t want money and a dollar is too small, what am I like five?” he shook his head.
I breathed a heavy sigh and placed my hand on his firm shoulder.
“You are eighteen Jason! So why don’t you try and act like one!”.
He chucked. “Okay according to birthday philosophies I’m not actually eighteen until a week after my birthday”
“Okay just be serious for two minutes Jason, two goddamned minutes!” I pleaded.
“Okay if I can be serious for two minutes, instead of giving me just a dollar, why don’t you tell me your real age!” he smirked
“And what do you want with my age?” I crossed my arms over my chest.
“To know if you’re really sixteen, or below!” Jason stated.
I shook my head Negatively. “Okay fine, two minutes and I’ll tell you what you want!”
Jason nodded and became quiet, he politely asked me what went wrong with his solving and I showed him how he got the whole answers wrong. He solved the problems again and got them all correct.

“Two minutes is gone, or should I say five minutes and the reason I failed these questions the first time was because you wouldn’t drink the can coke silently, you were slurping it and it was really disturbing my sensitive ears!” Jason narrated and I rolled my eyes at him.
“Don’t make up excuses!”

“I’m not and also two minutes is gone and now how old a–
“I’m twenty one, happy?” I rolled my eyes… Again
Jason’s going to make my eyeballs fall out one day.
“What?” he laughed. “You can’t be twenty one!”
“What the hell do you mean?” I gave him a stern look.
“You’re too young, too little to be twenty one!” he chuckled.
“Excuse me?” I scoffed angrily, “was that an insult or a compliment?”.
“None!” he said immediately.
