Ife left immediately she met Akuna’s devilish look; I think I made a mistake,I should have locked the door…
Akuna sighed as Ife left.
“what are you looking for by this time?”, I said as I bite into my lips beautifully.
she faked a sad face.
gosh,she deepened it and make it look like real.
I know she won’t do that if she knows who i really am,even my bands mate in the industry hardly get on my nerves.
“what exactly do you want,by this time?”,I asked.Mother left cos she got a call,i faced Akuna instead.
“it’s about your unveiling party as the ambassador of glow…have been calling you on phone but you never answer my call. I really want to travel with you as your girlfriend”
she said.
“I never said you’re attending the unveiling with me…did i?”I asked.
“that’s what the queen wants,she said i should travel with you. Am a princess,you’re a prince which means we have a great future ahead”
she said and moved closer.
“firstly,am not interested in kingship, is that difficult to grab…gosh and i thought you’ve passed this level already” i said.
she sighed in an annoying manner.
“Lotanna what was Ife doing here…an ordinary maid to you,are you doing it to make me jealous”.
she said,
I rolled my eyeballs,i doubt it if mother knows her real character.
“this is not fair,you always shut me out…have you forgotten what you used to call me when we were little, you always call me your wife when i was four then you were just six or seven.No one touches you,if anyone touch you,you always bath again and change your cloths.
Only me touches you,only me play with you.Did your traveling make you forget all that?”
she asked.
“speaking of the past,I can’t really remember and even if i always call you my wife, you should know we were kids then.Maybe I just said it for saying sake,you shouldn’t take it to the heart cos we were just kids..
reason it, you were 4 and I was 6.
does that make any sense?” I asked.

“I believe things should be done accordingly,traveling with me is totally out of it because those that will attend the unveiling party are top celebrities with their partners in slaying outfits..

“go to your room,you’re not traveling with me like I said,I will be working with an escort” I said.

I didn’t turn to look at her, I entered my bedroom and locked the door.
I reduced the Ac level and checked the mails have missed.

I felt so restless as I returned home tiredly,my mind was disturbed.
all I want is to get Adeife back to my reach but the condition Tracy gave was damn difficult.
why did I even sold Ife ?
when I thought it was nkem that bought her,so it was Tracy that sent him
chimoooo what have i done?.
How will i refund the four millionaire she paid in advance?.
I already used part of the money on my business,we rebuilt our house,the rest of the money had been spent on frivolous things and it might take me six months to regather the money..
who will even borrow me such amount of money???
how would I even get the cows and wrappers she bought???.

I think Tracy really planned this, normally the price of a maid is #200,000 I should have known Tracy have plans and i stupidly fell into it.

I stood up and left my compound,
soon i arrived at the dibia’s house and brought out the little calabash I always call him with abs said some incantation,

“you summoned me Onome three times in one day which is unlike you…what exactly is it now?” he asked.

“A spell and in vain did you say? did you by any chance see Adeife’s face?” he asked solitarily.
“no papa,I haven’t seen her face but a man appeared to me this night,he threatened and warned me that the gods are watching me” I said..
The dibia sighed and disappeared without a word..
I shivered in fear,
I got so crazily scared and ran away.
I felt hopeless,what exactly will i do?..
this girl must not escape fully.
I got to the spot my great grandmother was buried, the only thing I don’t like about coming here is because she deals with the gods of anger.
I got there and called her with clapping,
the ground started shaking and soon she appeared in form of a giant,
thick smokes filled everywhere.
I faced back and coughed mercilessly…..

“where are you going to?
“where are you coming from?

she spoke harshly,
more thick smokes covered the whole area.
“mama,it’s me onome,your great grand daughter..
And i came to see you.

chaos and war is nothing but a playful thing for you…..”
I praised her.
“that’s enough, stop praising me and say whatever you’ve got to say because i know this is not for nothing….you’re disturbing my rest”,
she shouted in such dangerous anger,I almost passed away but she helped me regain myself.
“the destination isn’t far,it’s the many stopover praise that cause delay” .I said.
“then don’t praise me….go straight to the point” she said,icily.
“mama please,it’s still about my rivals daughter i made a convenant using her as a ticket but now the spell is broken…am scared it will backfire”, I said.
she laughed evilly.
“if the ugliness should backfire then it is a big slap to my face.
Nobody in my generation takes insults with ease!
only a bastard resorts to peace when his father and mother are insulted…
Onome the worst is fast approaching, if you don’t get Ife from that palace, things are yet to get destroyed.
But for now,I have the power to prevent the spell from backfiring on your own daughter” she said.
“thanks mama” I says..
she disappeared,
I ran back home.

Adeife Adeife p.o.v
Ebere and i moved into the maids quarter, we were done with our works.The girls started grinning from ears to ears,
most of them still find it difficult to believe that am Adeife.
Ebere sat on my bed while I faced my belongings.
“did aunty Tracy told you about traveling with her?” she asked.
“no,she didn’t” I replied.
“she actually said she is taking one of us along” she said.
“waoow,so one of us is actually going to see the city.That’s great”
I said,happily.
Chioma rushed in happily.
“Adeife good morning” she said.
“same here” I replied with my lashes bashed..she has been acting so nice ever since i turned beautiful, she keeps trying to get me in her good books,likewise others.
“What happened again?” dumebi sat up, likewise Vicky.
“Hmm Princess Akuna,she is leaving already. I think someone annoyed her” chioma said.
“do you think that one can leave?” dumebi hissed.
“thank goodness am always avoiding her” Vicky said.
they started discussing.
I focused on my dress, thinking of what to wear.
“can’t you wear the red colored one, it will make you look sexy” ebere said
“I wish i can but it doesn’t look like a maid cloth.Aunty Tracy has given it to me yesterday and besides i don’t think am ready for troubles with Akuna” I said and selected something very simple, I even removed my earrings since she said maids doesn’t wear one.
I bath and dressed up fully,
by the time i entered the room,no one was there.
they must have gone to the kitchen to carry their foods.
I left the room and checked the kitchen, they were there.
“ebere keep my food,am coming” I said and went to aunty Tracy’s room.
I knocked.
“yes,Ife come in” she said.
I opened and entered fully..
She was dressed fully,I think she is traveling…
“good morning ma’am” I greeted.
she replied.
“be fast,am waiting for you. I already packed” she said.
“ma’am” I said.
“yes,we are traveling together” she said.I got happy,I will finally see the city…
“okay ma’am,I will just go and eat”
I said and rushed downstairs, I passed lotanna’s door,it was locked.
*hope you’re okay?” I said to the door and hastily rush out of the palace.
It’s been long I saw ngozi.
I ran like crazily and made sure i passed numerous shortcuts.
people i passed,usually turn back to look at me again..
soon,I arrived at ngozi’s palace.
I went to her window side and knocked, she opened it immediately.
“ngozi” I called happily.
“sorry,do I know you?” she said.
“ngozi,it’s me…have you forgotten your friend” I said.
“I don’t have any friend aside Ife” she said.
“ngozi,this is Ife! Ife Adeife” I said.
she blinked her lashes.
“see,I was spelled” I said..
“what prove do you have that you’re Ife?” she said.
I sang my song..

“Ife….” she called..
we hugged from the window side, she even cried, we both cried.
I disengaged cos of time.
“hmm am going now, to the city. I don’t know when i will be back. Might be next week or next tomorrow, bye…

We hugged again..
“I still have many things to tell you when am back, bye” I said, we both disengaged..
I ran back to the palace.
I think there is still time,I entered the kitchen,no one was there.
I saw where Ebere kept my food and wanted to go and carry it, Akuna walked in.
I thought they said she is leaving.
“good morning” I greeted.
“hold your greetings” she said.
“what are you to Lotanna hunn? don’t you know how to stay away” she added..
“I didn’t go to him” I said.
she raised her hands to slap me but replaced it with a scoff..
“what were you doing in his room yesterday and what was he telling you” she said.
“I didn’t…it was Mrs okafor that sent me message to his room,I don’t have any intentions.Just stop troubling me” I said and took a spoon.
“and why was he holding your hands” she said.
I got irritated by her question.
“ask him by yourself” I replied..
She slapped me twice,
the plate i was holding fell and broke into many pieces.
“Princess Akuna,stop this” I said.
she still slapped me again,I quickly knelt down in tears.
just then the queen entered, aunty Tracy also approached.
Akuna turned back and pretended as if nothing was happening.
Lotanna just passed by the entrance,
everyone turned,
Akuna looked more shocked the moment he stopped.
