Annie and I got ready for prom and you could tell how
dashing we both looked, just as we were about to leave my
room, the door opened and Erick walked in.
I sighed.
He’s all dressed up.
“You never back down, do you?” I stated.
“I said not to come to prom with us, but no, you only listen
to yourself” I rolled my eyes with a smile.
“I listen to you but then I choose not to follow what you say,
and June you can’t be dating and go to prom single, that will
make me a bad boyfriend” Erick Smiled.
“Fine” I rolled my eyes.
“I thought Daniel said he wanted to come too” Annie
suddenly said.
“Well he wanted to. But work spoke for him” Erick replied
and Annie nodded.
“Anyways, what are we waiting for let’s hit the road” Erick
said and linked my hand with his, but Annie broke the link.
“No way, I’m not going to be a third wheel here” Annie
yelled before walking out.
“Annie…” I laughed.
Vox drove the three of us to prom and i started to feel
excited all of a sudden, now there is the feeling I’m talking
about.
We got to our school and seriously the music coming from
inside could make your stomach churn in excitement.
“Wow, your school is…
“Small, yeah we get that a lot” Annie interrupted.
“Yeah” I nodded agreeing with him.
We got inside the school’s auditorium where they
announced that the prom will be taking place and you can’t
even imagine seeing how all your classmates and friends
look all pretty in their all extravagant dresses dancing to the
bop music playing on the ear blasting speaker.
Suddenly the music stopped playing and everyone turned to
the deejay.
Surprisingly the deejay picked up his mic and as he pointed
to our direction he yelled. “Everyone, its Erick and June!”
Everyone’s eyes turned to us and like loud thunder, the
screams were more louder than I could hear.
And like a human stampede, everyone in the room ran in
our direction immediately.
Well so, looks like I’m no more June Peterson anymore but
just June, the famous June everyone knows.
“Oh my God Erick-J, you’re so charming up close”
“Oh my God June you’re too pretty”
“Erick-J I love you”
“Erick-J you’re breath taking”
“I can’t believe and Erick – J and June are both here”
“Erick-J and June at our school?”
“June looks even more pretty and taller in real life”.
You could hear all those from the crowd in front of us. And
I look pretty snd taller in real life? Excuse me I went to
school here.
.
“Attention everyone!” I heard Annie’s voice and every head
turned to the stage to see her in front of the microphone.
Seeing everyone attention on her Annie smiled. “So as you
all know, June goes to school here, that’s why she’s here
today, and of course Erick-J is here too, obviously everyone
knows they’re dating, some of you may know June and some
of you may not, people from different classes may not know
June but I know everyone from our class knows June, so but
what I’m trying to say is, June came here to our prom like
everyone of us, she came here tonight like a student here, so
do not treat her like she’s special and do not treat her
indifferently. She came here to enjoy prom like everyone of
us, so do not suffocate her or make her feel like leaving,
same thing with Erick too, they’re both humans, so let them
enjoy prom like they need to, and deejay please strike on
with the mysic” Annie said and as the deejay nodded he
blast the volume of the music back on again and everyone
went back to their dancing position obeying Annie.
Now that’s my Annie.

Annie walked down the stage and walked up to Erick and I.
“You both owe me” Annie yelled over the music.
“If it weren’t for me you would have been crushed by the
crowd” Annie added.
“Yeah we owe you one, name your price and you’ll get it”
Erick said and Annie smiled.
“I’ll go get a drink now and leave you two alone” Annie said
eyed me with a smile before walking away.
“So want to dance?” Erick asked.
I looked at him.
“And grab the attention from other students? Now that’s just
cruel, and besides I’ve had enough dances for my album, one
more dances and I’m going to break” I smiled and Erick
smiled too.
He grabbed my hand.
“Look June, I just want to apologize for my carelessness
with Giselle, I want t–
“Look Erick, the past is in the past okay, it’s not your fault” I
smiled and placed my hand on his cheeks.
“Earth to June” I heard a familar voice behind me.
I turned to see my classmates and also friends phoebe and
joy.
“Oh my God, phoebe, joy!” I called and gave them brief
hugs.
“Oh my goodness, June you look dashing, like so dashing
I’m going to cry” joy said scanning me.
“Well thank you” I smiled shyly.
It felt so weird, but weird in a good way, when you
remember those days you sit in class and talk about the lives
of celebrities with your friends not knowing you would be
your own celebrity one day.
“So, are you going to say hi to us to Erick-J or what.”
phoebe whispered.
“Uh, I heard that” Erick laughed.
“Oh” phoebe looked away shyly.
“Anyways as you know, I’m Erick!” Erick gave a friendly
smiled and shook hands with phoebe.
“And I’m phoebe” phoebe smiled.
He shook hands with joy too and joy introduced herself.

>>> *Fast forward* >>>
The prom went lovely from my point of view as the music
became slow and Erick and I slowly danced to it just like
everybody else.
Before we knew it, twelve was about to strike and we
realize how scanty the prom has become. The prom king and
queen has been crowned and it was given to the school’s
jock boy and a junior girl.

The day was over and it was the next day already, the only
thing was that it was still dark. I told vox to take Annie
home cause she seemed a little tired and a bit drunk.
Erick and I took a taxi and as the driver dropped me home
first Erick kissed me and told Goodnight in my ears.
I went inside and the quiet and warm home welcomed me.
The house was way too quiet and I knew everyone was
asleep, it’s twelve a.m why wouldn’t they be. We really did
spend a lot of time at prom.
I went to my room and after taking a shower I went back to
my bed to rest when I recieved a call from Giselle.
Looking at the name on my screen, I decided to put the call
on record like Erick did, just in case.
“Hey June.” Giselle’s stupid voice said.
“What do you want?” I asked.
“What? Are you scared of me?” she laughed.
“Why would a jaguar be scared of a mice?” I retorted.
“Oh shut your crap and just to be clear, you’re the mice…”
Giselle stated.
“Look Giselle, I don’t get why you’re calling me this late,
you’ve already done enough poisoning my boyfriend and
kissing him, making us split up briefly, what else do you
possibly want from me?” I asked.
I started to hear tiny sobs.
Is she crying.
“Well thanks to your goddamned boyfriend, my career is all
ruined.” Giselle yelled.
“How could he, wow, I misunderstood him, well Fairplay, I
kissed him and he released our call to the media, ending mycareer. Thanks to him my life is in hell right now” Giselle’s
breathing was rough.
Erick released the call record to the media??
I spoke up. “Erick didn’t ruin your career, you ruined it
yourself, you should have thought of this, before you
poisoned him, kissed him, admitted the truth through a
phone call. You’re paying for your own mistakes Giselle, so
don’t you dare say that Erick ended you, because you ended
yourself ”
Giselle laughed. “Oh wow, he ended me, but guess what, if
I can’t end him, I’ll just end you, since he’s so obsessed with
You, sometimes when you mess with some people, they
don’t really care, but when you mess with what’s close to
their heart, they blow up, and that is exactly what I’m going
to do too. You can go ahead and record this call all your
want, the world already hates me and you putting this up
won’t change the way they feel about me now, but I don’t
care anyone who hates me or not, I don’t care, what I care
about now is hurting you and trust me it is going to happen”
Giselle said. And somehow I remained speechless.
“Awwn June, are you scared?” Giselle laughed.
“just wait and see Giselle you won’t get away with this
foolishness” I said through gritted teeth.
“And you just wait, that your so called perfect body, perfect
voice and perfect face… It will be of no more” Giselle said
and cut the call.
I breathed in and out before sending the audio to Erick. I
was a bit scared I won’t lie. Psychopathic girls like her are a
no-go.
I sighed and got under my blanket before falling asleep.

^ERICK’S P.O.V^
The next morning, I woke up by ten a.m I recalled last
night, getting down from the taxi and going to bed straight
without even taking a shower.
My room door opened and Daniel walked in.
Yep, he’s totally living in my house now! Maybe I’ll just sell
the house to him.
“How thoughtful of you uploading Giselle’s audio on the
media” Daniel said and I turned to him.
“Upload what?”
“Giselle’s call you recorded!” Daniel replied sitting down on
a chair opposite my bed. “And whoa, the whole world is
throwing a storm on her”
I never uploaded anything.
I picked my phone up and called Charles immediately.
“Hey Erick!” Charles eating voice said.
He’s always at food.
“Did you upload the audio about Giselle?” I went straight to
the point immediately.
“Yes, I had to, she really deserves it.” Charles said.
“I said not to, you could have talked to me about it first
before posting it online” I yelled.
“Look, let’s talk about this later, my wife’s calling me”
Charles said hung up.
I noticed a notification at the top of my screen and I tapped
it to see it was a message from June.
An audio?
I clicked on play and I was a bit moved when Giselle’s
voice came in first.
*.. *And you just wait, that your so called perfect body,
perfect voice and perfect face… It will be of no more*.. *
I gritted my teeth at the last part of the audio and Daniel
breathed out a “whoa” .
Did that goddamned Giselle just threatened my girlfriend.
I Ringed June immediately and she picked up almost at the
end of the call.
I breathed out a sigh, she sounded sleepy and asked why I
was calling her, I told her to go back to bed and rest more
that it was nothing. I shouldn’t disturb her beauty sleep.
“Giselle is so much more than I expected” Daniel said.
“Maybe charles didn’t do a bad job posting our phone call
online, if she fucking tried bullshit with June, I’ll show her
that I can be a psycho too” I said angrily and believe me I
was fuming.
“And wait let me guess, this is all because she likes you?”
Daniel asked.
“Yeah, but she realized how stupid she was being liking
me.” I scoffed angrily.
Daniel shrugged with a smile “Things people do for love.”I turned to him. “She’s trying to hurt June because of love?
Some People just don’t know when or how to act, she’s
being foolish, she’s not in love” i stated.
“You know some times we all have to see the villain side of
the story” Daniel said.
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about, the villain side
of the Story, are you on Giselle’s side on this one?” I asked
glowering at Daniel
“I am not on any one side, I mean just imagine, loving
someone who doesn’t even want to look at you, I know
Giselle is being a little too much, but I kind of feel her pain”
Daniel shrugged.
“She’s not being a little too much, she’s going way over the
top and feel her pain, what do you think she’s going through
that you suddenly feel connected to her” I said and did air
quote around ‘connected’
“Don’t say it like I’m taking sides with her, I’m just saying, I
know what it means and feels to like someone who doesn’t
even want to look at you the way you want them to, who
wouldn’t even want to think about being with you for a
slight second, how do you expect to Giselle to feel when the
person she likes is in front of her but she can’t even grab it,
that hurts you know” Daniel explained with his voice getting
shaky.
Wait.
I paused and looked at him. “Do you like someone who
doesn’t feel the same way?” I asked calmly.
“I don’t and don’t try to pry into my love life” Daniel said
and I swear I saw pain in his eyes.
He stood up and tried to leave the room but I blocked his
path.
“Tell me, who is this person you like?”.
