“So how was the shoot?” Erick asked placing his
hand around my shoulder.
“Exhausting but it came out great” I smiled.
“Should we just quit being celebrities?” Erick
suddenly asked.
I turned to him. “Why would you say so?”
“We don’t get to see each other often, isn’t that a
problem to you?” Erick joked and I laughing
hitting him playfully on his chest.
“silly, we’ve both come a long way and you want
us to just drop it?” I rolled my eyes.
“I know, but if you’re asked to choose between
your career or our relationship, what would you
choose?” Erick asked.
“Uhh… Both?” I shrugged.
“It’s a question for a reason, you get to pick one
answer” Erick narrowed his eyes at me.
“How do you expect me to choose, it’s like loving
two things at the same time, I love my career and
where I am right now, and I also love being in a
relationship with you, it’s like loving Auggie and
you at the same time, it’s the same title ‘love’ but
different feelings when you take time to decipher
it.” I explained and
Erick sighed. “This is what happens when you
get a smart girlfriend”
“Well what about you?” I fold my hands over my
chest “What would you choose?”
“Now listen to this carefully, I’ll choose our
relationship over anything”. Erick said with
pride.
“Really?” I scoffed.
“Yeah!” Erick nodded.
“Well, that’s nice, but I hope you understand
where I’m coming from” I said and he nodded
with a smile.
We both left the room I took my shoots and
walked to the discarded studio. The only studio
where only Daniel, Erick and I know, its been
long since any of us came here. I don’t know
about Daniel but for the first in forever, this is
Erick and I finally being inside the studio again
and it just brought back old memories.

Erick and I spent the whole day there, talked
about a lot of things, whenever we’re together we
never run out of words.
The day ended as fast as possible and I realised
how cruel time could be, cause anytime I’m with
Erick, time just seems to speed up.

On my way home I got a call from Annie. *this
story Is written by Ruthie lee*
“June” she called with excitement.
“Yeah?” I breathed out.
“So after begging and begging my parents to have
a sleepover at your place, they finally agreed.”
Annie stated.
“Really?” I gasped. Regaining all strength I lost.
“Yeah, you know, we’ve been best friends for so
long, but we haven’t really had a sleepover
before, but finally I stood up to my parents.”
Annie boasted.
“You stood up or you begged?” I asked with a bit
of ornery in my tone.
“Don’t ruin my moment June” Annie laughed and
so did I.
“So when are you free, cause you seem like a
busy bee” Annie asked.
“I’ll be free on Monday, to Friday but any thing
can come up so how about Monday?” I stated.
“Monday sounds perfect, I’ll let my parents know”
Annie said and I could feel her smile.
“You’re eighteen, your parents shouldn’t tie you
down so much, we’re not in 5th grade anymore
we’re highschool graduates” I rolled my eyes.

“Well that’s my parents for you, one day I’m going
to stand up to them, I’m tired of being chained
especially by my mom” Annie sighed.
“Okay, I wish you the very best in that” I said to
Annie.
“Okay then, wish you Goodluck with the award
show and I will see you on Monday.” Annie said
cheerfully.
“Okay, thanks” I smiled and we both hung up.
I closed my eyes and only the sound of high
speed cars passing by could be heard.
Finally I was home and I made it to my room, I
threw my purse on the floor and grabbed my
phone from my Jean pocket.
I checked my N’stagram, to see notifications
popping up on my screen, well I’ve always had
notifications like this, but strangely all my
notifications were saying *Giselle_N_E liked your
photo*. I gasped when I had to scroll even further
to see the same notifications, this Giselle girl,
this new celebrity, is she stalking me it what?
She just liked my first picture from my debut
day to now…
I decided to check my inbox, but I didn’t see any
message from her. I closed my eyes and placed
my phone under my pillow.
I was starting to get sleepy until my grandma
came in and called me out for dinner.
I ate dinner telling her about my day and went
back to my room, I talked to Erick on the phone,
we both talked till I fell asleep.
Saturday came and left in light speed, i spent
the day with my phone in my room, I rehearsed
on my steps a little bit, warmed up my vocals
and stuff, that was how Saturday went. I don’t
really have much going in my normal life.
It’s not like I have anything much going on in my
life before.
Sunday came in light speed also, and I found
myself getting my hair and nails done that
evening.
The award show is tonight and I have to look my
best.
“So… Are you nervous?” Hannah asked me.
“Not really” I shrugged feeling the hotness from
the blow dryer that was pointed at my hair,
blowing out hot air.
“Are you sure?” Hannah raised her brows at me.
“I am sure” I smiled.
“It’s your first award show, you can’t possibly not
be nervous” Hannah said.
“Are you pressuring me to be nervous?” I asked.
“No” she laughed. “and I’m being silly right now,
I’m supposed to make you feel confident, but I’m
pressuring you into being nervous, I’m a bad
manager aren’t I.?” Hannah said and I laughed.
“Yes you are.”
“Anyways, you’re going with Erick tonight right?”
Hannah asked.
“Yeah!” I smiled.
“Cause everyone’s rooting for the Erick-June
couple, you guys are like the number one social
media everyday couple” Hannah said and I
couldn’t help my smile.
After getting my hair done, with a little bit of
fake silver strands of hair being attached to it, I
did a light makeover, light makeup was by my
choice, Hannah wanted me to go full , but I
decided on light, cause I’m performing tonight
and I just don’t to look too much.

I walked into my dress and pulled it up my
body.
Hannah walked behind me and zipped it up my
back.
“You look gorgeous” Hannah smiled taking me in
front of the mirror to look at my reflection.
The blue one arm dress was glued to my body
like it was part of my skin, it had this scaly feels
and appearance that made it glitter a little bit
under the light, it stopped right under my thigh
and Hannah pointed at my shoes.
I put on the four inches silver heels and I
suddenly grew taller.
“Performing in these shoes tonight, you should
start calling doctor vanya” I joked, but was
serious in another way.

Doctor vanya is a foot massager, and he’s helped
me a lot, performing in heels is not so easy and
magical as it looks.
The day has already started to get dark, and as
I walked out of the salon, I saw Erick waiting
outside the building with his blue car, dressed in
a blue suit, and a silver bow tie.
“Whoa” Erick smiled…
“Wait, we’re wearing matching outfits?” I smiled.
“Yeah, Hannah came up with the idea, I mean
we’re a couple anyways” Erick shrugged.
“Yeah, but then your car gets a taste of our
matching outfit” I Beamed pointing at his blue
car.
“Well it’s actually makes sense, looks like our
theme for tonight his blue” Erick said opening
the car door for me.
“And who said, my favorite colour was blue” I
playfully rolled my eyes as I got into the car.
“Well it’s my favourite colour, so you just have to
deal with it.” Erick said with a wink before
entering the car.
His driver starts to drive the car and that’s how
we left for the award show.

Judging from the lights flashing ahead, no one
would tell you, we’ve gotten to our destination.
It’s the award show,
I know it’s only for rookies like me, but still other
celebrities are going to be there, and they are still
going to give out like three or four other awards.
The car stopped in front of the building and the
amount of paparazzi would make you gasp…
A red carpet was placed at the centre of the
path, that would lead you straight inside, and
beside the red carpet were paparazzi and their
blinding camera light.
Erick’s driver opened the door for us and Erick
walked out, and the cameras turned to him
immediately. His hand reached out to me and I
placed my hand on his and slowly walked out of
the car.
Suddenly I was getting nervous.
I stepped out of the car and Eric’s driver closed
the door.
Erick held my hand firmly, and it was strange
how it looked like we walked down the aisle
instead of a red carpet.
The amount of flashing lights could make
someone trip, but all you just have to do is look
ahead with a smile on your face.
Erick did turn and wave to the camera.
We got inside the huge arena, with fans sitting at
the other side of the hall, and different
celebrities, sitting close the stage.
Erick and I were both guided till we both walked
to a seat.
I spotted Maria Li sitting faraway from us, but I
couldn’t help but admire how glamorous she
looked, Morgan, Ricky Goodman, Dj herb, so
many celebrities.
The screams of the crowd made me look at the
stage to see two people walking out.
A male and a female…
It was Daniel… His smile made the crowd go
wide.
The female walked behind him and the crowd
went wild again.
Daniel was putting on all red and the girl, white.
I looked at the girl clearly to see it was the
Giselle, the same rookie actress, who’s been
storming Mahnline with her acting and who has
also been liking my every pictures and videos on
N’stagram, so she and Daniel are the host for
tonight’s show. Wow.
“What’s up Mahnline!!!!!!!” Daniel yelled into his
microphone and the crowd went wide
immediately.
“Hope, everyone’s pumped up for tonight’s show”
Giselle added and the crowd lets out a roar again,
causing her to smile.
Wow. She’s already hosting shows.
“Tonight, we are bringing you the best of the best
of the very best” Daniel voice crawled through the
arena and the whole crowd yelled happily.

Erick turned to me and his face got closer to my
ear.
“Who knew Daniel could be as lively as this”
Erick said mockingly.
“I know right, he’s always so quiet, he’s a
different person from his music videos, stage
performances and fan signing events, and in real
life, he’s just so bottled up and he talks less” I
said.
“He doesn’t talk less around me” Erick shrugged.
The crowd suddenly let out a loud laugh and it
seems like Giselle had joked about something.
She looked pretty, she had light brown hair,
very light brown, though I couldn’t really
decipher her face features cause she was faraway
and up on the stage.
“So… When this show’s over, do you want to
come over at my place?” Erick suddenly asked
interrupting me.
“Uhm… It’ll be late by then and seriously, my
grandma would kill me” I laughed.
“You know, she doesn’t really care, and you don’t
know that, she knows you’re old enough to look
after yourself and she’s just acting this way to
show that she still cares, despite knowing fully
well that you’re not a child anymore” Erick
explained.
Here we go again, with Mr. Know it all.
“And how do you manage to know all these?” I
asked.
“I’m used to knowing things, cause I tend to do
my observations clearly.” Erick smiled.
“Mr. Observer” I rolled my eyes with a smile.
“I know this sounds weird, but I always feel like
kissing you when you roll your eyes” Erick said
and I turned to him.
“You’re weird.” I laughed.
“We’re both weird.” he Beamed.
“And no, you can’t kiss me here, all eyes will be
on us”.
“But the whole world Knows we’re a couple” Erick
shook his head.
“Still, you’ll ruin my makeup” I said and he
clinched his fist and dramatically shook it in the
air saying “Curse you makeup”.
I laughed and playfully hit his shoulder.

The night went from lame to body bursting, the
celebrities performing were just making the
crowd go wide, and soon it’ll be my turn on stage.
Well I enjoyed each and one of the performances
on stage.
I waved Erick goodbye as I left for backstage,
getting ready to perform.
I met Hannah, and boy was I Glad.
“Since the time’s short, you’re only performing
two of your songs with your backup dancers, now
make me proud okay!” Hannah said.

After getting more than prepared, I was called on
stage and the lights went dim immediately and
that was my cue to walk on stage. I got on stage
and so did my backup dancers.
The lights came back on, and seeing me on
stage, the crowd went wild.
It sweetened my heart and I smiled.
The fame.
My music went on and I start to sing
immediately, following with the dance steps. My
dress was a bit tight but I could still breathe and
walk.
I never let guard down as I sang and held on a
very strong gaze.
I performed wholeheartedly and I was proud of
myself.
