“You were raped by Alex? Is he the one Father met with you?” Kim asked and she shook her head feeling ashamed of herself.

“No. He came after your father left.” She said and she opened the door so they could come in.

“You don’t expect me to believe that Racheal. You just finished betraying father, you could come up with a lie just to gain my trust which won’t work.

“He did rape me, he held a gun. I know you won’t believe it because I am not worth it. The thing is, I truly slept with another guy on our matrimonial bed for pleasure and money. That was because Peter never touched me since he got back from the hospital. He never looked at me as his wife anymore.”

“I was horny but he wasn’t around. So I had to look for someone to give me pleasure. And I thought of it to make money. I know he isn’t to blame, I caused all the hatred. But believe me when I say Alex isn’t resting!! He wants you and threatened to kill me if you don’t come to him to accept his proposal. He gave me 72 hours.” She said and Kim scoffed unbelievably.

“Is he out of his mind? After raping you, he still wants me.” She said looking at Landon who was also surprised.

“Yea. He raped me to punish me for collecting money from him and him not seeing my effort to bring you two together.” She said with her head bowed in shame.

“You are the cause of all these. I told you right from the beginning that I never liked Alex more than a friend. But you used it as an opportunity to extort money from him, now you are suffering the consequences. So why are you dragging me into your mess?” She asked and Racheal stood up from the chair she sat.

“you don’t get it. He would kill me if you don’t say yes to him.” She said and Kim laughed.

“So you want me to say yes to him? Why should I care if he killed you anyway?” Kim asked shrugging her shoulders.

“I know you hate me and you don’t care if I rot in hell. But you need to know even if he kills me, he would still want to get you by himself. So you need to be careful and if possible apprehend him before he gets to you.” She said and Landon spoke up.

“And how do we do that?” he asked and Kim looked at him.

“Don’t tell me you want to listen to her,” Kim said and Landon sighed.

“Kim, she may be saying the truth. To be on the safer side, we need to find out ourselves and then put him in his place. I can’t let him snatch you away from me.” He said looking very serious and Kim sighed.

“Fine. What do you want to do about him?” Kim asked folding her hands.

“I want us to trap him like set him up with you.” She said and Kim’s eyes widened.

“Set him up with me? Why me? Why am I the bait?” Kim asked in anger.

“Because it’s you he wants and you are his weakness. You are the only one that can give the cops what they want. He has a gun, and I can’t just tell the cops and expect them to believe me. They need evidence.” She said and Landon sighed.

“What do you think?” Landon asked Racheal and Kim looked at him.

“Don’t tell me you are supporting her on this one.” She said and he placed his hand on her shoulders.

“Baby you know I would never endanger you. I am just trying to find out some things.” He said and she nodded slowly.

“If she goes to him and says she is ready to love him if he lets me be. Then she starts playing along and then starts making him spill out all the trash he has done, then we would find evidence against him.” She explained and Kim shook her head.

“Never. I ain’t living with that idiot!! I can’t pretend to like him because I hate him. He would get to know and then kill me. And you keep living your life.”

“I know what you are trying to do. You are pushing him to keep yourself safe. You would never change. Let him do his worse, I ain’t doing that shit.” She ranted walking to the door.

“Landon let’s go. And if you are going to be killed, RIP in advance. Like I care.” She said opening the door, walking out, and slamming it against their faces angrily.

Rachael looked at Landon sadly, and he turned to look at her too.

“I need to take my leave now.” He said and she nodded slowly. He could see tears roll down her face.

“I wish you could help me talk to her. I know she hates me, but I am still her mother. This is the only way to catch him. To catch a devil you need to act like one.’ She uttered and Landon sighed.

“I don’t know what to say to you. All I know is that I can’t let her stay with that murderer. The only solution to this is to find another way that wouldn’t involve Kim going to him. She isn’t strong for that.” He said and Racheal nodded cleaning her eyes.

“Okay. Thank you. I guess I would have to die then. Bye.” She said opening the door to the room and walking in.

Landon walked out of the house and met Kim seated in the car already. She didn’t look happy at all.

He wasn’t expecting her to look happy anyways.

He got into the car and shut the door sighing heavily.

“Babe…” he called calmly.

“Please don’t talk about it. I want to go home.” She said and he nodded slowly.

“Okay.” He said igniting the engine.
