“Huh? That is not what I meant,” Mavis denied shaking, her head sideways. “That’s what you meant,” Thea uttered through gritted teeth.
“That is not what I meant, stay back so I can explain myself properly,” Mavis said and pushed Thea, she opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out of it.
Mavis was already holding Cisco’s harm, she smile at him and he returned it but got his arm out of her grip which results in her making a sad pout.
Thea could not help but laugh, Mavis turned to look at her, throwing her deadly glares. Thea cleared her throat and said. “We should leave.”
“Yes, we should,” Adrian said and nodded his head in agreement, he turned to face Mavis and said. “It was nice meeting you,” he opened the passenger seat for Thea who got in almost immediately.
Cisco went round the car and got into the driver’s seat, they both wore their seat belts. “Bye Mavy,” Thea wave at her but she simply rolled get eyes.
Thea chuckled and rested her head on the seat with a smile on her face, the car was quiet which made her nervous.
She wondered if that is how it was going to be once they start living together, she sighed and decided to close her eyes. That will make time faster, she thought.
After minutes of driving the car stopped at a huge mansion, Thea opened her eyes and stared at the mansion in front.
Her mouth opened voluntarily, and her eyes almost fall out of their socket as she found it hard to believe that she is in Francisco King’s house.
She has never seen a house as beautiful as that in her life, there were cars in the compound, and she stretched her neck to get a better view.
Cisco who was already standing by the door said. “You will have to step out of the car if you want to see more.”
“There is more?” She asked. “We are outside Thea, if the outside is as good as this what do you expect to find inside?” He asked.
“Ten times prettier,” she replied. “Then let’s go see it,” he said and opened the door for her. “Thank you,” she mouthed as she stepped out of the car.
Three maids rushed out of the mansion and bowed, “get the things in the car,” he ordered and they rushed to the car.
“It’s bigger on the inside?!” She exclaimed and her jaw almost touch the ground. “Your sitting room is cool, it’s bigger than Mavis’s apartment,” she said running to the middle of the sitting room.
She stood in front of the TV and a wow escape her mouth, “imagine watching this all day, like would be perfect,” she said.
“You can watch it all day,” he said. “You are kidding right?” She asked and he shook his head sideways keeping a serious expression.
“Wow! This is going to be the best Job ever,” she screamed. “Where should we keep the luggage, sir?” One of the maids carrying Thea’s things asked.
“In the room beside mine,” he replied and Thea felt her heart race, she is going to be sleeping in the room next to his. “Can the day get better?” She muttered.
“Let me show you the dining room,” he said and led the way. A few seconds later they were standing in a room not too far from the sitting room and you can see the swimming pool from there.
“Do you leave with your ancestors?” She asked. “Pardon,” he blinks his eyes repeatedly.
“These chairs are up to twenty or more, why do you have so many chairs in your sitting room if you live alone?” She asked.
“Actually….” She interrupted him. “Do you dine with the ghost?”
“No…. That is absurd, I see nothing wrong with these chairs, you never know I have guests or a party,” he shrugged at the end of his words.
“Rich people are hard to understand,” she uttered and wall towards gr glowing pool, different lights were reflecting in the water making it look perfect.
“The swimming pool is beautiful,” she compliments. “Let’s head to the library,” he said.
“How big is your house?” She asked as he led the way, he didn’t reply to her but folded his hands behind his back as he walked, which Thea found ancient.
“This is the library,” he said as he walked into a room filled with books, it was not as big as a school or city library but it was spacious.
“Beautiful?” She compliment and then turned to face her. “Have you read all this?” She asked.
“No,” he answered. “What is the point of having so many books if you have not read half of it not to mention the whole books,” she said and peek at the library before returning her gaze to him.
“Some guests like reading, they can always read some, you must have heard the saying ‘knowledge is power,” he said and chuckled.
“My younger brother is also a college student, he comes here to read sometimes,” he added and she just nodded her head.
“Let’s head to the gym,” he said and she turned around to leave the library while he followed. They got to the gym after a few minutes of walking.
“Have you tried out all this?” She asked staring at the types of equipment. “No, but I exercise once in a while,” he replied.
“Why do you have them then?” She asked. “You can’t say I might throw a party…” She interrupted him.
“The guest might want to exercise, are you throwing a party for gymnastics?” She asked. He opened his mouth but no words came out of it.
“You don’t have to answer,” she said. “Where else do I need to see?” She asked walking away. “The wine cellar,” he replied.
They stood in front of wines, if Thea were to count they are more than five hundred bottles. “Why do you have so much wine? Are you saving them for parties too?” She asked.
“No…. Yes, I don’t know,” he replied. “It must be a party for drunkards this time,” she said.
“Let’s head to the bar, I’m sure you have one,” she said walking away. He glanced at the cellar before following her.
“Do whores visit this place too? Did you build it in case they’d love to hold a party in your house?” She asked but it sounded like a mock to his hearing.
“No,” he replied. “I want to see your kitchen I bet it’s like that of royalty,” she said walking away.
“I was right, more like I am in the White House,” she said as she stared at chefs going up and down with maids carrying or cleaning something.
“You probably hire so many ’cause of a party,” she said and turned to face him. His brows were furrowed, she sighed and said. “I think I have had enough,” she said and walked away.
“Have you had dinner?” He asked. “Yes, just show me to my room,” she requested.
“This way,” he said walking towards the staircase, she followed and his jaw dropped at the sight of what she saw.
There was another sitting room upstairs, it was not that big hit beautiful. “Thos doors, where do they lead to?” She asked pointing at the doors.
“Those are guest rooms,” he replied and she turned to face him, he smiled nervously knowing she has a bad comment again
“Is the whole country coming to have a sleepover at your place?” She asked. “That funny,” he chuckles.
“Is this a house or a resort?” She asked. “Of course, it’s my house,” he replied. “There should be a lecture on money management for the rich,” she said.
“Here is your room,” he pointed at the third door. “Thanks, I can finally get some rest. I felt like I walked through the country,” she uttered waking to the room given to her.
“She is weird,” he muttered before heading to his room.
Thea video called Mavis immediately she got to her room, it was painted in yellow and white which she loved ’cause it looks like an egg yolk.
“Hey girl,” Mavis said as her face pop up on the screen. “His house is as big as a hotel,” that was the first thing Thea said.
“You are exaggerating,” Mavis said.
“I’m not, I swear it’s huge and beautiful, check out my room,” she said and turn to the camera to the room.
“Are you a princess?” Mavis asked as she saw the room from the video call. “Ain’t sure by I fúcking love this job,” she almost screams.
“Can I come to visit?” She asked. “I’m not sure,” she said turning the phone to face her. “Okay, I have to go,” Mavis said and end the call.
As soon as she ended it, Cisco call came through. “Hello,” she said with the phone in her ear.
“Come to my room, the door on your right,” he said and end the call.
