A day earlier at night.

“I know a way to get the killer out of hiding,” Chloe stated. “How are you going to do that?” Victor inquired.

“A bait,” Chloe replied. “A bait? How is bait going to help us here?” Victor asked.

“It’s going to be like fishing, you have to set a bait and wait for the fish to get caught. You pull it out once it is caught but the question is, what is going to be our bait?” Greg asked.

“Me,” Chloe blurted. “What?!” Victor freaked.

“What do you mean Chloe?” Greg asked. “I am going to reveal myself, I will come out of hiding,” she replied with a smile

“Have you lost it? Has your pretense to be dead affected your brain in some form?” Victor questioned as he stared at her in disbelief.

“No, I am perfectly fine and I know this sounds and seems like a suicide mission…..”

Victor cut in. “It is a suicide mission,”

“Listen, Victor, this is for us… I am going out there for us,” she stated.

“That is crazy Chloe! Totally crazy! I have been hiding…. No, we have been hiding for the past five years, we threw everything away, our lives, our loved ones, everything Chloe, just so you will be safe and now you want to throw it away? I am not going to let you, you are not!” He stated and left for his room

“Victor! Victor waits, listen to me. Victor!” Chloe called but he was long gone.

“Let him be, he should be himself in the next few minutes,” Greg uttered and she sighed.

“If only he would listen,” she muttered and sat on the couch. “I understand him you know, he has been through a lot since the incident. I understand if he thinks this is foolish,” Greg said.

“I know this is going to sound selfish but, you both should let me do this and if it doesn’t work I will face the consequences head-on,” she replied.

“What is your plan? You just gonna go around yelling I am Chloe Cruz I am alive?” He joked.

“Of course not, it has to be where the killer is going to see me,” she replied.

“Where? On Tv?” He asked. “No, the killer is watching one person which is Cisco. I am going to reveal myself to Francisco Kings first thing tomorrow morning,” she responded.

“Why Cisco?” Greg asked. “When the killer finds out I am alive and around Cisco, he is going to react, HIM will want to execute me again. However, this time we will be well-prepared for him. He will be caught right in our trap and all this…. Will be over, you will get to be with your family, and you and Cisco will fix the broken relationship. I and Victor will get to live freely, we will all be happy,” she smiled.

“A perfect but risky plan,” he responds. “Which is why I need your help, I can’t do it all alone. Both you and Victor are going to be my best buddies in secret,” she stated

“If you think this is right then I believe you,” he said and she smiled.

“I knew I could trust you,” she blew him a kiss. “But you need to speak to Victor,” he reminded.

“I will do just that,” she replied and stood up.

“I should head home, good luck with convincing him. Give me a call once you have decided and don’t forget to call April too,” he said and gave her a brief hug.

“Thanks for everything,” she appreciated and he pats her back.

Chloe waited until Greg was gone before heading towards Victor’s room, she knocked on the door and waited for his response.

She got known so she opened the door and met him taking out his anger on his laptop.

“It will die early if you continue that,” Chloe uttered from the door. “I don’t remember giving you permission to come in,” he didn’t spare her a glance.

“I am not in I am standing by the door,” she replied. “It is still part of my room,” he argued.

“Can you prove that?” Chloe asked. “Just get out already,” he demanded

“What if I don’t?” She asked. “I won’t mind throwing you out,” he replied now out Of bed.

“Are you really going to do that?” She asked. “You think I can’t, don’t you?” He questioned back as he got closer.

“Nope,” she shook her head negatively, she gave him a puppy face when he got closer.

“You have ten minutes to explain,” he said with his arms folded on his chest.

“This is for us and you know that my appearance will help in detecting and catching the killer. We will be free once he is caught, isn’t that what you wanted?” She asked.

“What if he hurts you again?” He asked with concern. Will you let him?” She inquired.

“No,” he replied. “Then we have nothing to worry about,” she replied and he pulled her into a bone-crushing hug.

Present……

Chloe told Cisco a fake story of how she survived and why she showed herself now and not earlier.

“I am glad you are alive, it feels amazing to see you again,” Cisco uttered.

“Same here,” she replied and turn to face Thea. “Who is she? A friend?”

“No, she is my girlfriend Thea Robert,” he introduced. “You are Chloe, right? I have heard a lot about you, I am happy you are fine,” Thea said.

“You have a girlfriend?” Chloe asked pretending to be surprised. “Yeah, why do you sound surprised?” Cisco asked.

“Nothing, coming back from the land of the dead must have its toll on me,” she mumbled with an awkward chuckle.

“It’s fine, we are just about to have breakfast, would you like to join us?” Cisco asked.

“Sure, we can catch up too,” she replied and Thea stood up.

“I will go and change,” she said and pecked Cisco before heading upstairs.

There was an awkward silence after Thea left, Cisco wanted to start a conversation but it was more like he was hallucinating.

The girl sitting in front of him is supposed to be dead, he is happy that she is alive but it was weird.

He looked away immediately after they made eye contact, Chloe was uncomfortable with the silence too but it was all that was expected.

“Your girlfriend looks beautiful,” Chloe complimented and Cisco forced a smile.

“Thanks, and you? Do you have a boyfriend?” He asked.

“No, I don’t,” she replied. “Oh, I see,” that was all he could mutter.

Thea walked towards them a few minutes later dressed in a black short gown, it stopped before her knee.

“Let us have breakfast,” she said holding Cisco’s hand, they led the way holding each other’s hand.

Chloe followed trying her best to cool down but it was almost impossible, watching Cisco hold hands with another girl broke her heart

She looked away from their interlocked hands and quickly took a seat when they got to the dining table.

Fiona was coming from the kitchen with a cup but it fell when she was almost at the table.

“My apologies,” she squats immediately to pick it up and hurt her finger in the process.

Thea rushed to her when she saw the blood drop on the floor. “Does it hurt?” Thea inquired worriedly.

“You don’t have to worry ma’am,” she replied with an assuring smile, while at the table Chloe took her time to observe his face.

She has to admit that he looked cuter and she regretted hiding for so long, if only she had shown herself earlier he would have been hers.

“She is fine, I apologize for her clumsiness she is a bit tired,” Thea apologized on Fiona’s behalf.

“You should let her rest,” Cisco said and Thea nodded. “I did that.”

“Let’s eat,” Cisco said and they started eating. “What have you been doing for the last two years?” Cisco asked Chloe.

“Trying to get my life on the right track, three years of my life was wasted on a bed. I wouldn’t want you to imagine what that feels like,” she sighed. “But I survived and I plan on surviving more battles.”

“What battles?” Cisco asked. “The killer has not been caught so I still have to fight him or her,” she replied.

“The killer?” Cisco repeated. “Yes, you know the animal who tried to kill me,” she replied.

“We should report to the police then,” he said. “I haven’t done that,” she muttered with her head bowed.

“Why?” He inquired. “A dead person doesn’t file reports,” she replied.

“But you are fine,” he said. “Yeah, but Chloe Cruz is dead to the world,” she replied.

“Then let the world know you are alive,” Thea said. “You… Know it’s hard, telling the painful story of how I survived,” she sniffed back her tears

“Holly Molly!” Dr. Malcolm freaked and collapsed.
