Cisco was restless throughout the ride home, he kept glancing at the message on his phone and then his reverse mirror to see if any car was following him.
He literally jumped out of the car when he got home, he was glad Thea was not in the living room or she might have to bombard him with questions.
He got into his room and locked the door behind him, he dropped his phone on the bed and loosed some buttons on his shirt as sweats ran down his head.
‘Who could it be?’ Cisco thought as he paced around the room, he sat on his bed and took his phone.
He read the message again and shook his head sideways. He dropped the phone and walked straight into the bathroom, he switched on the shower with his clothes on.
“Hey Cisco,” a female voice spoke in his head and he closed his eyes tightly.
“Cisco,” the voice whispered again and he closed his eyes more tightly.
“It’s gonna be fine right?” The voice asked and tears dropped from his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he whimpered and fell to his knees. “Don’t be sorry,” the voice said loudly and he screamed in horror.
While in the kitchen Thea and Fiona were chatting while the maid prepared dinner.
“I wonder when Cisco will be back,” Thea muttered. “You miss him?” Fiona asked and she nodded.
They have grown closer over the past month and they are aware of each other’s feelings but just too scared to admit it.
“Hey,” Thea gestured at a maid and she walked towards her. “Kindly get me a bottle of wine from the bar, and check if Cisco is back,” she said and the maid left.
“Why do you want to drink?” Fiona asked. “I can only drink when Cisco is away, I don’t want him to think I am still mourning,” she replied.
“Are you seriously okay?” Fiona asked. “Why does everyone think ain’t fine, I still have my mom who is gonna be discharged soon,” she replied.
“Yeah, but you are still worried about telling her what happened,” Fiona said.
“Yeah but I will find a way to tell her,” she said with a shrug.
“Ma’am Thea,” a maid called and she turned to face her. “Sir, Cisco is back,” the maid informed her.
“Thanks,” she appreciated. “And the wine?” Thea asked.
“The bar is locked,” she replied with a bow. “He is one step ahead of you,” Fiona said with a smile and Thea glared at her.
“Francisco!” Thea groaned as she walked out of the kitchen heading upstairs.
She got to his room and surprisingly the door was locked. “Cisco!” She screamed angrily at the thought that he locked the door after hearing her voice she banged on the door repeatedly.
“I am going to break this door!” She screamed as she continued hitting the door, while the shower kept falling on Cisco’s unconscious body.
“Francisco!!” She screamed more loudly. “Don’t tell me you are scared,” she mocked but there was no sign of movement or an attempt to open the door.
“Did that maid trick me?” She wondered and was about to turn around when she heard sounds of water.
“He’s in the bathroom,” she mumbled and went to sit on the couch in the other living room, waiting for him.
After minutes she stood up and walked to the door again, she placed her ear on the door and listened gently to the sound of water.
“Cisco, are you okay?” She asked now knocking gently on the door. “Cisco?” She called when she heard no response.
“Fiona!!” She yelled. “Fiona, get me a key!!” She yell and Fiona rushed up the stairs.
“Ma’am?” She called more like a question. “I need a key, a spare key,” Thea rushed her words as she tried to open the door but her attempt failed since it was locked.
“Here,” Fiona said and gave her a spare key, and she opened the door, she rushed in and straight to the bathroom.
Her eyes widened in horror as she saw him lie on the cold floor with water hitting him. “Cisco!” She screamed and knelt beside him.
“Open your eyes! She demanded as she slapped his cheeks repeatedly, Fiona walked in and switched off the shower.
“Fiona help me,” she cried as she tried getting him out of the shower, Fiona walked in and helped her carry him to the bedroom.
They successfully laid him on the bed. “Cold,” he whispered and Thea remembered the AC was switched on.
“Switch off the damn AC!” She screamed and Fiona did. “Ma’am Thea, we should get a doctor,” Fiona suggested.
“Get Dr. Malcolm!” Thea ordered and Fiona rushed out of the room.
Thea took off his wet clothes, she was unconscious of what she was doing until she got to his trousers.
“How do I take this off?” She wondered as she held his belt. “What am I going to do?” She panicked as she held it tightly.
She decided to leave it, she covered him with the duvet and went to close the window
“What happened to you?” She asked his unconscious body as she pats his hair, he was feverish and his temperature was rising badly.
The door opened and Fiona walked in. “Where is the goddamn doctor?!” She screamed.
“He is in his way,” Fiona replied, in panic. “How long is he going to take?” Thea asked randomly.
“I advise you to calm down ma’am,” Fiona said. “He is dying Fiona, he is fucking dying!” Thea yelled and Fiona flinched.
“Whose dying?” Dr. Malcolm asked standing by the door, he got there earlier because he was nearby.
“Please, help him,” Thea pleaded and Malcolm hasten his steps towards the bed.
“What happened to him?” He asked as brought his equipment. “I don’t know, I found him in the shower unconscious,” she responded.
“How long has he been unconscious?” Dr. Malcolm asked.
“I don’t know, can you help him?” Thea asked. “Sure,” he replied.

Mavis was sited in a coffee shop waiting for a client, she sighed as she stirred her cup of coffee.
“When is he going to be here?!” She groaned and someone tap the table.
“Vin,” she called excitedly. “Waiting for someone?” He asked.
“Yeah, but he is running late,” she replied. “Your boyfriend?” He asked.
“No I don’t have one, it’s not like you asked but I just wanted to clear the confusion. Oh, I’m doing it again,” she said and hit her lips.
Vin chuckled and sat in front of her. “What was that?” Vin asked.
“Oh, you wouldn’t want to know,” she replied. “Tell me, I’m curious,” he urged her and she face-palmed herself.
“I’m waiting,” he said, sweetly and she blushed.
“Nothing,” she said and resumed stirring her cup of coffee. “What brings you here?” Mavis asked avoiding eye contact with him.
“Came for lunch, my school is nearby,” he said. “You are still a student?” She asked, surprisingly
“Don’t I look like one?” He asked. “Nope,” she replied and sipped from her coffee.
“I’m glad I don’t,” he said and she raised a brow at him. “Why? Glad you can fool girls?” Mavis asked.
“No, glad I don’t look like the last son of the king’s family,” he replied. “Anyone would wish to be the last son of the king’s family,” Mavis said.
“Anyone who has no idea what type of madness runs in that family,” he replied.
“That sounds deep,” she said. “Enough about me, so tell me who is your none boyfriend that you are meeting here?” Vin asked and she laughed.
“Don’t tell me it sounds funny,” he said and she laughed harder.
“Your way of asking if he is a suitor?” She asked and Vin smiled. “No, but is he?” He asked.
“He’s a client, who wants to invest in my company,” she replied.
“You have a company?! That’s dope!” he exclaimed. “I don’t have a company but I work in a company,” she replied.
“Still cool, I guess I can keep you company until he gets here,” he said and started eating his lunch.
“Don’t you have to go back to school?” She asked. “Not really, it’s been boring lately,” he replied.
“Good thing I know how to get rid of boredom,” Mavis said with a smile.
“Really?” He asked and she nodded. “Thea nicknamed me mood booster,” she said and he laughed.
“Speaking of Thea, I haven’t visited her in a while. How is she?” Vin asked.
“Her mom is getting better so she’s fine, but we are worried about what’s going to happen when her mom learns the truth,” she replied with a sigh.
“The truth?” Vin asked with furrowed brows. “Yes, about her dad’s death, she lost her sanity when she found out he was comatose,” Mavis said.
“She has been through a lot,” Vin muttered and Mavis nodded her head in agreement.
“Mavis Grey,” a man called.
