“Chloe,” Greg called with a smile and she walked fully into the room, her body was spotless unlike the picture in the newspaper.
“Where are we?” Chloe asked. “Why is Francisco kings ruled out of the suspect? He could have sent those men for all we know,” Victor stated.
“I remember seeing Cisco’s number calling before I was knocked out, April reported that he had insomnia and was recently cured by a voice,” Chloe stopped and Greg added
“His insomnia was caused due to what happened to Chloe that night.”
“He would not be traumatized if he was the culprit,” Chloe concluded.
“It could be guilt,” Victor insisted. “The truth will soon unfold,” she said and walked towards the board.
“Which of you dared to end me?” She asked with a straight face as she stared at the pictures intently.
“We should continue tomorrow, there is a place I got to be,” Victor said. “What’s your plan?” Chloe asked understanding that he was going to meet Mavis.
“Get her to trust me,” he replied with a cunning smile. “I can’t wait to find the culprit,” April sOd with a sigh.
“Me neither,” Greg added. “I am going to make him or her feel hell on earth,” Victor said.
“See you guys tomorrow,” Victor said and rushed out of the house.
“April, try to get more info tomorrow, find out what Cisco is up to,” Greg ordered and she nodded.
April walked towards Naomi and gave her a short hug. “See you tomorrow bestie,” April said.
“You too, my regards to your boyfriend,” Chloe said. “Ghosts don’t send their regards,” she replied and they laughed.
“When are you leaving?” Chloe asks Greg who was staring at the pictures.
“Soon,” he replied. “Heard your wife left,” Chloe said.
“We are fine,” he said instead. “I am not worried,” she said and he chuckled.
“What’s funny?” Chloe inquired. “You are still the worst liar,” he replied.
“I’m not lying, I am not worried about your marriage because your wife and daughter aren’t going to give up on you,” she said.
“Sounds like you know them,” he muttered. “Do you know the fun part of being dead, you watch everyone without their knowledge. It’s cool when everyone thinks you don’t exist,” she said and walked out of the room.
Greg switch off the lights before following her, she went to the dining table and started dishing the food.
“You cooked?” Greg asked an obvious question, she can’t order since the house looks like a haunted house, and she is literally a ghost.
“Yeah, I thought you might be skipping meals, you have been beating yourself up over the fact that you torment Francisco,” she replied and pushed the plate to the front of a chair.
“Bon appetite,” she said and he took a seat, she is right ever since he found out about her survival he regrets everything he did to Cisco.
“Ask for forgiveness I believe he is still the same guy, he is soft,” she said and Greg nodded slowly.
“I guess, I am always the bad guy,” Greg muttered lowly. “No, I didn’t mean it that way and you were never the bad guy,” she said.
“Why didn’t you love me back then? Why did you choose Cisco?” Greg inquired as he played with the cutleries in his hand
“Because…., well I don’t know, he was cute, innocent, young, and funny,” she replied with a smile.
“I guess I didn’t have any of those,” he said and stare into her eyes. “I don’t know, why talk about the past?” She asked with an awkward chuckle.
“Aren’t we here because of the past?” He asked a rhetorical question. “I’m glad you chose me to help and not Cisco,” he added with a smile.
“I don’t know,” she replied and her face was expressionless. “Is there something you are not telling me?” Greg asked.
“No, there is nothing. We should try to catch the mastermind behind all this, that should be our only priority,” she said and he nodded in agreement.
**********
“I will visit mom and Mavis tomorrow, do you want to come along? I mean to visit mom, not mavis,” Thea said as they ate by the pool, it was Cisco’s idea and she didn’t question him since she found it romantic.
“Francisco, are you listening?” She asked when he looked lost. “Hey,” she tap him snapping him out of his thought.
“Were you talking to me?” Cisco asked. “Are you alright?” Thea asked, worriedly.
He has been doing that a lot, slipping into oblivion while they are having an important discussion.
“Yeah, I’m fine. What was it you were saying?” He inquired.
“Nothing,” she replied, he knew it was a lie. She was talking to him. “Darling,” he called.
“Don’t ask!” She snapped. Cisco bowed his head as he regretted hurting her, what was happening was affecting him and his relationship.
“I’m sorry,” he apologized softly. “Don’t be, what I was saying wasn’t important,” she said and forced a smile, silence took after.
Cisco was sad that he hurt her feelings, he was having a hard time sorting himself out now he has to think about Thea.
“Thea,” he called. “I don’t know what’s going ok with you but can you please not involve me?” She pleaded in a teary voice and left the table.
Cisco opened and close his mouth but no word came out of it, he rubbed his temple frustratedly.
Thea ran to the library and shut the door behind her, she hated the fact that he didn’t trust her.
She sat on the floor and hugged her leg to herself as tears rolled out of her eyes.
Why does love hurt so much? Or was it just her? His body is always with her but his mind is somewhere else.
He is hard to understand and she wants to help but he is making that hard to do since he won’t tell her what’s going on.

Mavis was sited in her apartment browsing on her phone when the doorbell rang.
“Who is there?” Mavis asked and stood up to get to the door, she didn’t get a response until she got to the door.
“I asked who is there,” she repeated. “Vincent,” the person replied and she opened the door only to find Victor smiling at her.
“Never knew you now use other’s identity,” Mavis uttered as she walked back to the couch, Victor walked in and close the door behind him.
“Have a sit,” she gestured at the sofa. “Normal girls would have asked how I got their address or what brought me here,” he said and she rolled her eyes.
“I am not other girls, you should know that by now,” she replied. “Still the same,” he muttered.
“Yeah and I have chosen to move on,” She replied. “You were still in love with me?” He asked sounding a bit proud.
“No, but I was mad at you and I realized my brain hardly functions properly because of that. For me to move forward I have to leave you in the past, you are in my past, Victor. You mean nothing to me,” she stated and he stared quite surprised.
He was not expecting that from her, but it is going to help him anyway. He is going to find out if she is the culprit.
“Good, we are friends then,” he said with a smile. “Yeah,” she replied with a forced smile, being friends with him is not part of her plan.
“Can we go out for dinner?” He asked. “Already ate and we are just friends Victor, nothing more. Don’t give yourself hope,” she stated
“Is this the part where you ask me to leave?” He asked and she nodded gently.
“I will see you soon,” he said and blew her a kiss which earned him a glare from her.
He had a frown on his face as he walked into the elevator, and he closed his eyes after pressing a number.
His eyes remained shut until he heard the elevator door open and he walked to his car.
“How was your date with Maverick?” Chloe asked as Victor walked into the living room.
“First her name is Mavis, not Maverick,” he corrected and slump on the chair.
“Second?” She asked. “We didn’t go on a date but we are cool now,” he replied.
“I know she’s not the culprit but we have to keep her under watch too,” Chloe said and sat beside him, he rested his head on her lap.
“We can’t trust anyone Chloe,” he said. “I know,” she muttered.
“Do you still love her?” She asked a sudden question and he bit his lips nervously. “I don’t know,” he replied.
“It’s fine if you do but remember what’s going to happen to her if she is the mastermind of all this,” she said and stopped stroking his hair.
He raised his head and she stood up. “And you… Do you still love Francisco kings?” He asked and she stopped.
