“Where are you taking me?” She half yelled but got no reply as he zoomed off.
She panicked a little and looked around. What is wrong with this guy?
Anyway, she could be sure he wasn’t going to hurt her. Right?
She looked at him as he controlled the sterling and continued driving freely.it was a really long ride and Valerie hoped her car would still be safe back at the bridge.
“If you could, at least, tell me where we’re going, I’d really appreciate it” she said after a little while, begining to feel a little worried already.
“First rule,Miss Valerie” Jericho said. “You don’t ever question me”.
What?
“No matter what it is I’m doing or asking you to do, you’re to do it without questions or complains. If you fail to carry these out, you’ve failed the test already”.
Seriously? – Valerie huffed.
She couldn’t believe this.
She shook her head and looked out to the other side of the window. Well, since she had no say, what was she expected to do?

After a very long ride, the car finally came to a stop and Valerie looked to see it was a bar.
“You’re bringing me to a bar?” She wanted to ask, but recalling his damn instructions, she just shut herself up.
“Second rule Valerie, don’t tell on anyone. Wait here” Jericho said as he opened the door and left the car, and Valerie just continued staring at him.
“Don’t yell at anyone”.
And what’s that supposed to mean?
If anyone deserves her yelling, she’d definitely give it to them.
She shook her head and remained in the car. Thank goodness he didn’t ask her to follow him else, she really wouldn’t know what to do – having to walk in with such face.
This guy was really a pain in the @ss and she seriously couldn’t wait to get rid of him.
She brought out her phone to check if she had any messages or missed calls, but there was none. Thank goodness, no one was looking worried about her yet.
But why did he bring her here anyway? And what’s he doing in the bar? Just taking a drink?
Long minutes passed and she felt so bored already. And tired.
Then finally, she spotted him coming out of the bar, holding soemthing like a briefcase.
Huh?
She watched curiosly as he walked with it to the boot, obviously fixing it in. Did he come here to collect money? What sort of business deal could be going on there?
Anyway, it was none of her business and her only concern should be getting these annoying spots off her face.
Jericho kept the brief case in the boot and after which, returned to the car,to the driver’s seat.
Valerie gave him a beady stare as he sat next to her.
“You can leave now” he said and her brows furrowed in confusion.
“I… don’t understand?” She almost scoffed.
“I said…you can leave now” Jericho repeated, his eyes fixed on the windscreen.
“Okay…But I can’t just leave now, I mean.. right here. My car’s at the bridge” she said.
“Thar should be your problem, Valerie – not mine. Now, for the last time – get out”, his voice was more strict and Valerie could tell she’d be in serious sh!t if she doesn’t leave right away
But…it really isn’t right to do this to her.
“But ..what about my face! Am I done with the test?” She asked, her face crumpled up
“I’ll call you tomorrow” was his simple reply as he ignited the car and without wasting further time, she got hold of her bag and left the car.
“Dammit!” She cursed angrily.
How could he do such a thing to her?
Still standing there, she watched him start the car and drive away and her anger only increased.
She fumed and looked around and couldn’t even recognize where she was. So, she’d have to make use of a cab? A public transport??
Oh, Valerie. What has happened to you – she grouse.
*********************
Jericho drove into the mansion and parked his car.
He stepped out, took the briefcase from the boot and walked into the house.
Getting into the sitting room, he met Ethan holding a glass of drink with the TV on. But obviously, he wasn’t watching the program.
Jericho walked in silently and dropped the briefcase on the table.
“I got it” he mumbled as he opened it and looked at Ethan. He didn’t say a word, but only nodded in approval.
Screams of a lady could be heard from upstairs and Jericho didn’t need anyone to tell him that was Klaus’ doing.
He closed the briefcase and started walking away – trying to take the stairs so he could go to his room and get some sleep, but Ethan stopped him.
“You’ve been with that lady – Valerie?” He said and Jericho turned to look at him.
Although, he was already behind him and they couldn’t see each other’s faces.
“Yeah” he shrugged, wondering what his point was.
“You need to get rid of her, Jericho. She’s only going to distract you. We’re here for a purpose” Ethan said.
“I know what I’m doing, Ethan. I see nothing wrong in having a little fun while we’re here”.
“Fun?” Ethan scoffed and turned slightly to look at him. “We have limited time here on earth, Jericho. We have less than 8 days to fulfill our mission and return home, but we aren’t even done yet. We haven’t even found Hapitha”.
“We’ll find her, Ethan”, Jericho snapped in.
“Like I sakd, Valerie won’t be a distraction” he added and walked away.
