Valerie wouldn’t deny it; she felt a little nervous as she followed the boy to the room – the sitting room.
Well, nothing could happen to her, right? Like…there was no way they could be murderers. Besides, Sally was outside waiting for her.
So, yeah. Everything would be fine..
“And…Welcome to our humble abode” Klaus exclaimed with his arms apart.
“The only problem is – the owners of the house aren’t that humble” he added and chuckled.
Valerie took her eyes around, letting go of her problems for the meantime
Damn it! The room was a living paradise. if she wasn’t so rich, she’d have screamed in bemusement.
The floors were made with HD wallpaper, the TV set was massive, glasses, decorations..
And the middle table in the room was actually made of gold! Pure gold! What the f**k???
“What’s she doing here?” She heard a grumpy voice – one that was familiar anyway – and quickly snapped her head to the direction.
It was the second boy from the previous night – the one with dark eyes and a cold tone. He was climbing down the stairs.
“Oh! She’s here to see Jericho – again” the genial one replied.
Quickly recalling the pictures Sally had shown to her, the friendly one was Klaus. While the grumpy one was Ethan.
Then…the b@stard that ruined her face was Jericho. Damn him!!
“Why don’t you tell her she’s wasting her time? Jericho would never get those stuff off her face” Ethan said as he finished climbing the stairs and walked towards Valerie’s direction.
“You should be thankful he didn’t kill you” he added when he stood in front of her – so close.
Valerie’s brows arched a bit. Why was he so rude?
“Well…too bad I’m not thankful” she replied with her eyes staring directly at his.
And swallowed hard – nervously.
Well, yeah she was nervous. Deep down, she was as nervous as sh!t, but didn’t want to show it out to them.
Ethan smirked and stared grimly at her.
But for a fact, the guy was damn handsome – Valerie concluded to herself.
His bushy brows, dark eyes, cold face…
Yeah, he looked wicked, but he was handsome.
“Now, I get why Jericho punished you with this” Ethan suddenly said, his voice so low and gruffy as he remained standing close to her.
Their eye contact was still there.
“He knew it’d be worst than death for someone like you. He knew a spoilt br@t like you needed to learn the hard way. But I hope you don’t even have the chance to learn”.
“You don’t need to hope, cause I’m not here to learn anything” Valerie almost sprouted out, but restricted herself.
Damn it!
“Let her give it a trial, Ethan. Come with me, Miss” Klaus said and started towards the stairs and without hesitation, Valerie followed.
She climbed the glittering stairs together with Klaus and the stairs were so long, she wondered if they had a destination.
“Goodness” she mumbled and rubbed her forehead lightly, and Klaus turned slightly to look at her.
“Is there a problem?” He scoffed and she just shook her head.
Then, he continued walking.
After what seemed like forever to tired Valerie, they got to the end of the stairs and continued walking through the corridor.
“Sorry to ask, but…are you guys some sort of wizard or something?” Valerie asked from behind and Klaus chuckled..
“You could say anything you want” he shrugged, making her more confused.
“All I did was spill his drink, and he did this to me” she said after a few seconds, but Klaus didn’t respond.
“Besides, you guys were at fault. Why would you just kick everyone out of the bar like we were some worthless dirt or something?” She went on, but still didn’t get a reply from Klaus.
“Yeah. And now he’s giving me attitude. Whatever” she jibed thoughtfully and rolled her eyes.
They took another turn to a corridor which looked more beautiful.
“Few weeks ago” Klaus suddenly said.
“A lady had accidentally stepped on Jericho’s shoes. It was an accident, but the next morning, she was dead”.
Valerie felt a cold wind howl at her.
Wait… what?.
For a moment, she paused and stopped walking and Klaus had to turn to look at her.
“Wh…Why would he do that?” She stuttered, unable to contend her shock.
“Well… because he’s darkness. Come on” he tilted his head and continued walking and Valerie hesitantly dragged her feet along.
For Christ sake, she felt so scared all of a sudden! Who the hell were these guys? And why were they trying to put so much fear in her?.
Her hand went up to her rough cheeks immediately.
Oh! It wasn’t something she could manage else, she’d have turned around and ran away.
They stopped walking when they got to a door which had a gold inscription on it.
“Go in” Klaus cocked his head and Valerie felt herself freezing.
“J…Just like that?” She gulped hard.
“He knows you’re here already. So,go in. Unless…you want to change your mind” He replied..
Valerie looked at the door, then at the floor. She could do this, right? Of course, she could.
All she needed was to get her face cleared up, then leave and make sure she never crosses path with them – ever again.
“Okay” she breathed out and turned the knob.
The door opened with a low creaky sound and step by step, she walked in.
“Goodluck” Klaus winked at her and helped her shut the door.
Okay. And this was it.
She was finally in the room.
She breathed out and looked around and amidst the sparkling beauty, big comfy bed, a long couch, some designs made with gold and diamonds, Valerie noticed she was the only one in the room.
Where was the Jericho?
Her anxiety calmed down a bit as she spent longer time on one spot, just looking around.
Damn it! The room was really looking it’s best – more like it was a King’s room.
It made Valerie’s cheeks heat really hard .
But where was Jericho? He should be there Right?
With the little courage she had left, she took a step forward.
“H-hello?” Her voice cracked a bit.
Oh! Damn it, Valerie! What’re you doing?. You need to be brave. Yes, brave. You can do this.
She gulped hard and took another step forward.
“Hello?
“Is anyone here?”
“How dare you come to my room and yell?” She heard the coldest voice ever and quickly turned to see him standing in front of an entrance she never knew was there.
Oh God!
