I rushed to her and shakes her vigorously,she isn’t moving and it made me got scared and also made my tears stream down.

“mama!! I said lowly and placed my ears on her chest,I didn’t hear any sound of her heart beating.

my tears stream down as I rushed to her medication box where her drugs were kept,I didn’t fond the key to it,
I rushed inside and bumped into someone,it was my father.
conniption gripped me,
have never feared anyone the way I feared my father.

“wgar is it…you have done evil again! he said.
“it’s mama…she did not…”
I couldn’t complete my statement, he made me shift from the way and I followed him to the sitting room where mama was,he felt her breath then faced me.

“what did you do to her?”he asked
“I didn’t…”I paused and rushed out to call the physician that will attend to her.

few minutes later,I already met my siblings outside and I knew a physician was inside already so I joined outside hoping it shouldn’t be what’s on my mind.
if my mother should die, then my dream also die.

“your majesty,prince eze had refused to eat nor open his door since he returned”a maid reported to me while kneeling down.

*you can leave”I dismissed the maid and approached the prince empire.
the guards at the entrance opened the bronze door,they bowed as I entered but there’s another another inner door,
I guess it is the one eze has refused to open.

this is unlike eze,why has he refused to open the door.I knocked,
the intercom device on the door beeped but the door refused to open.

“eze” I called as I knocked.
“eze”I called again, he didn’t open.
I smiled,I know he is in his mood swings.

“my son”I called as I knocked.
“and who is your son” someone said and I turned in full surprise,it was ulomma(prince eze’s mother).

“ulomma are you here to remind me that I do not have a child”I said,my mood suddenly changed.
traces of misty tears could be seen on the corners of my eyes.

Everyone as problems but I guess mine is the greatest.
I am Teresa,king somadinna”s first wife he loved me so much but my inability to bear him a child made his love for me shorten.

he married a second wife(ngozi) who bore him a girl(crystal)..

he wasn’t really happy all he really wanted was a male child,
someone who will bear his name, his throne and his inheritance.

out of desperation,he married a third wife(tiara) who also give birth to a female(ujunwa).

he wanted a male child and so he married a fourth wife who also gave birth to a girl (isioma).He didn’t get a male child until he married Uloma as fifth wife.

few years after ulomma gave birth to eze,she suddenly got proud because sonadinna pampers her a lot.
I didn’t look at her proudness instead I forgot my bareness and took care of all the kids like they were mine.
she bore two more sons; ebuka and emeka.
which made her more proud.

“and who is your son? as at the last time I checked,Eze is my son and not yours”queen uloma spat soundedly at my face like she’s with a goat.

“uloma are you sure you ate the right food today? do you know who you’re talking to? am your superior”I said.

“what type of superior is that one~
is it a superior without a child?” she clapped her hands dramatically.
I looked at her in disbelief.

Uloma looked directly in my face then point her fingers into my eyes.”yes its you am talking to you… only the gods knows what led to your bareness…even a 15years old girl this day can get pregnant with just one night stand not to talk of you.

“old cargo” she cursed under her breath..

“please uloma do not insult me any longer..
only the gods knows why I didn’t give birth and in as much that I don’t have a child to call mine,
I only came here to seek for reasons why prince eze didn’t eat and thats how much I care for other peoples children not for you to insult me. I will leave for my suite uloma” I said and turn to go and at the same time, the door opened and a 10years old Felicia came in.

she greets both uloma and I and came to touch my feet in respect.

Uloma frowned.”that’s enough Felicia and you Teresa I thought you were leaving before or do you want to inflict my daughter with your bareness so that she will not also give birth once its time” uloma said.

Felicia looked surprised by her mothers outburst.
“mama is queen Teresa baren for real? you shouldn’t have called her that in my presence,what if it comes to me”Felicia said.

“shut up..over my dead body,it will not come to you”uloma cautioned

“its okay uloma,don’t shout at her she is a child abs children always say their mind regardless of their ages”I said.

“when did you have a child that you know that they always speak their mind… mind your bareness and allow me to mind my own children” uloma said to me.

I couldn’t hold it anymore,
I left and I could hear her warning her Felicia not to come close to me again

“she’s not your mother,I am your mother.Do not ever try to call her mother inugo(you hear).

“yes mama but what should I call her should I call her queen Teresa instead?*I heard Felicia.

“call her old cargo or empty pawpaw”
my heart froze when I heard what uloma told her daughter.
in tears I rushed into my suites,
the maids kept wondering what might be the problem with me but I cared less..

I paced to and fro in my room.
ohh my god! is this my destiny!!!!
I’m close to 40 now…is there still any hope of me getting a child.

I couldn’t stop remembering the way that lady had spoken to me- a whole prince for that matter.

“perhaps you should also face front and point of correction am not insane neither am I mad”
those words and statements keep flashing back to me that I forgot a guard was with me.

“my prince,your have is really red,
you need to treat your skin”the guard said and wanted to touch me.
“hey be careful,that have don’t touch me with it” I said, he bowed and step back.

another guard parades in.
“prince eze,queen uloma your mother is here”he said and that made me turned.

“Eze are you okay,what’s going on with you,I noticed that you didn’t eat neither did you take your usual visit to the waterfall.Is something bothering you please talk to me” my mother said while patting my back slowly.

I looked at her and said. “its nothing mother,I am just deep in thoughts because of someone”.

“someone …is it a guy or a lady? definitely not a guy because you’re the most handsome in this kingdom and no one has achieved half of what you have so am guessing its a lady” she replied and smiled.

“is my son in love or what?”she asked and I turn to look at her in surprise.

“Love?
hell no mother,I am not and cant fall in love with that type of person..
you can’t believe this lady defiled me, I was insulted by a lady..not just a famous or influential lady just a daughter of a gateman mother…I …I…I…just…ohh jeeez! she’s going to regret it mother I will show her that my father is king somadinna” I said angrily and ran my fingers into my hair.I tried to take those thoughts off my mind but I just can’t.

“is she pretty?”Ebuka who was laying on my king sized bed asked as he unplugs his earphones.

“pretty…. she’s not..
just those stupid girls that wear long skirts and tie dirty scarfs,
the thought of it just made me puke and I even had to bath three times..
gross…she insulted me and the smelling ogbono soup had to pour on my skin”I complained seriously.

Ebuka laughed,
Emeka also joined in laughing.
while mother looked on.

“is it funny,am saying what’s making me angry you guys are laughing” I pouted…

“I asked Ike one of the securities and he told me the girl is pretty…
maybe she just wanted to try her luck on you…village girls are cheap,if I were you I would just shoot my shots” emeka said.Quite a womanizer.

“god forbid…that dirty rag,
look she made me suffer from commoners infects” I said and walked out angrily to the waterfall and just a guard behind me.

the waterfall is quiet a place where one can pour his or her heart to, a place one can find solace in.

my guard paused at the godly voice we both heard.

“I think someone is there at the waterfall and two people can’t see the waterfall at the same time”my guard said.

“simple,them tell whosoever that is there to leave for me…at least am a prince”I said.
the guard bowed and left but although the godly voice continued.

my guard came back few minutes later…
“my prince,I can’t…. face the person, I don’t know how to approach him”
he said.
I rolled my eyeballs.”is this the height of your cowardice”I said and he bowed.

I scoffed and approach there myself.. the godly voice stopped that moment and I saw the side view of a guy…
the view alone looked like the most beautiful thing have never seem.

he had on a simple earring,
then a single bead band fitted perfectly into his left hand,I checked mine it was different.

the water made the guy looked ethereal… his skin jeezz,by the looks of things he didn’t look poor.

“I order you leave this waterfall now” I said with so much authority,
he didn’t turn.
“are you deaf,I said leave” I said.
He turned slightly, I had the opportunity to see his full face and manly figure.
next he took his lips in soo cutely.

“Leave here now,I bet you don’t want to see the wrath of a prince”I said.
he said something I didn’t hear.
slowly he pull out a red gem stone out of the waterfall..

“what if I do not leave?” I heard him say..umm what a voice.
“and what would you do?”he added.

“are you sure you don’t want to suffer from a prince”I asked in a bossy manner.

“then get ready to suffer from Obi(heart) first”he said while taking his lips in cutely.

I turned back to look at my guard,
“my prince….”my guard said.
I looked front and didn’t see the guy there.I only saw a bracelet which I picked up.
