the palace was as quiet as ever, cancellation of the royal feast as a result of Charles absence really caused a scandal.

All the maids minded their business,except Nina who seems to know a little of the cause.

” hunn two maids are absent,who else is sensing something?” Nina coughed in a gossip tone.
” what type of thing is your nose sensing? mtchewww” Gina hissed.
” we all know that today is Olive off,she went to see her family” Mary proposed.

” has olive ever left this palace even on visiting days? do you wonder why??
” that’s because she is an orphan,now tell me who she went to visit?” Nina said.

” whatever. All I know is that olive took a leave home to see her family and Chidinma also took a week leave from madam crystal to take care of her sick mother” angel said.
” hmmm lies!! I just pity olive” Nina seethed, she knows chidinma took that silly excuse in order to be absent from the feast.

Who knows if she’s trying to escape Charles? that girl is very shameless,jumping from one man to another” Nina said loudly.

” let’s all mind our business” Dika said and walked out on the errand queen chiamaka sent her. She got outside the “7th building” a building which the maids occupied, she saw two men trying to peep into the compound.

” hello lady
” yes

” which of them??
” I mean Chidinma,I saw her left at dawn do you know her house address”

” that’s insane Chidinma didn’t go home,her stuffs is still in the quaters”

investigator brought out some money and handed it to Dika.
” what type of temptation is this? dika said in her head.

” this money Is for you”

” ok” she pressed her lips together and collected the money,the investigator smiled.

Dika tried walking out,the investigator drew her back.
” we were just wondering where her house is”

” I don’t know. I mean I don’t care,Chidinma is not my friend,we don’t talk at all but I can still help you get her address if you want” Dika said with an assuring smile.

” yes,I really need it.
” hmm I can refer you to a maid named,Hana she knows everything about chidinma” Dika said bluntly knowing fully well that Hana doesn’t know chidinma’s new address.
” thank you”
she nodded and walked out.

the gate opened automatically,Charles drove into his massively furnished penthouse,he wasn’t thinking straight.

Animalistic growls of pleasures savaged his throat by mere thinking of not getting chidinma… he needs her,his body wants her, he wants to go deep into her, and make her scream under him,he badly wants to hear her moans loud in his ears.
everything about her makes his animalistic desires growls harder.

” my prince,don’t you want to check in” a guard knocked on the car window,making Charles to jolts out of his animalistic pleasures. He switched from animal to barely human.

” who allows you to knock on my car?” his eyes sparkled fire. He took his phone and stepped out of his car,he then walked straight ignoring whispers from his guards.

” what’s wrong with prince Charles?”

” did he loose a contract?
” I wonder why the feast was cancelled”.

”my prince,how did you get like this” a girl said as she took Charles jacket from him.
a lot of guards rushed out as well as women in white.

” sir should we conduct a health check? the other maid said.

” sir should I call the doctor?” another maid said.

they dropped a white slippers and Charles removed the one he was wearing then ran upstairs while brushing his fingers into his hair

only Mark had the courage to follow Charles, of course as his personal accompliance.

Charles poured himself a glass of wine from the fridge.
” my prince you shouldn’t have been absent from the feast,it was specifically meant for you as an heir apparent to the throne. Don’t you think this behavior of yours can make his highness start considering tochi and rema” mark said with a little bow.

” I told you I don’t want to hear the name ”Rema”, why mentioning it to my ears? Charles uttered, fiercely.

” am sorry my prince”

Charles gulped his wine🍷,he poured himself more.
” did the investigators do their jobs? I think am being calm with that chidinma girl” he said.
” she….hmm no news about her house address but I have news on her family” mark said and showed Charles the clip.

” she even have a brother”
” yes. that’s Nonso,he is seventeen and still in Royal high school” mark said.
” he’s well built,turn out he is seventeen” Charles dropped the clip and entered his personal living room.

He sat in front of the piano table and glanced through the music sheet,the one he took from rema when he still had partial blindness
He tried singing the first line..

” it took the boat and sailed for tomorrow

” how many years will it takes to forget you??.

Charles stopped reading the song and rubbed the back of his neck,his eyes held vissible hatred plus desires. ” no way. How could he write such a good song? By rema..
it’s too stressful.
he dropped the guitar. meanwhile Stephanie already entered unnoticed.

She walked to the piano table and took the music sheet,Charles turned to her immediately
” who allows you touch my things?

” did you cancel the feast for playing this all day?” Steph asked. Charles rushed to collect the music sheet from her luckily,Steph saw the name on it.

” why are you here?
” or I should ask you what Rema’s most anticipated music sheet is doing here! Charles it’s high time you let go of rema please! Steph half yelled.

” I won’t? Charles yelled back.
” why? he didn’t offend you in any way and the last time I checked,you offended him instead. You stole this” steph said.

Charles slammed his forehead.
” is Rema your brother or me?

” I didn’t say you’re not,you both are” Steph defended.
Charles took his phone and walked further.
” Charles you hate rema just because he is richer?”

” not only that,almost everyone prefers him to me! it’s just so annoying” Charles said gulping the whole wine in his glass cup

Steph sighed. ” Charles,Rema is just someone who carries a special grace,people love his personality”

” and what’s wrong with my own personality? he is a philanthropist and I’m one too,I do everything he does yet he receives more love!

” Charles you won’t always get everything you want. You should be glad you are wealthy enough. People don’t have to like you”

” he’s always getting every award for this and that while have never gotten any” Charles said and tightened his grip on the glass cup.

” that’s because he is richer than you. Just accept that and move on,if you want to get awards like him,work harder…
can you please release your hold on that poor glass cup” Steph said knowing the cup might break any moment from now.
His grip is too tight on it.

Charles slowly release his grip, he dropped the glass cup on the table and faced Steph.

” you prefer rema to me right? he asked, Steph who folded in her lips and stared at him
” you both are important to me”
” who is more important,be sincere!

Steph cast him a glare. * you’ve really changed charles,your desires now look more of an animal*

” rema right?
” maybe” Steph answered.
Charles nodded.
” I know your maybe means you prefer him to me….but don’t forget that his mother is not our mother, you should know who should be more closer to you and who should be distant”
Charles said and walked away.

” and your mom accepted me like that, she’s really nice” olive said,she sat with chidinma in the living room. they were both watching movies.

” she’s very nice.Indeed” Chidinma chuckled.
” I don’t understand” olive said.
” don’t worry you will soon understand, welcome to my family” she rubbed olive mid back.
” what are you saying? is she not nice?”

” she’s nice indeed…just that she cares too much,if the care is too much you will definitely get tired of it..seems you don’t know my mother”

” you’re not serious, I like her already..she was even telling you stay as long as I want. I feel good about this…it’s been so long,I felt this type of love. If she comes back,I will ask her if I can call her mom”

” am not stingy,I can share everything with you except ”obim” Chidinma said,they both burst into laughter.
” I dare not share him with you” olive chuckled.
” better” she rolled her eyeballs jokingly.

chidinma’s iPod rang,she strolled to where it was and answered it.
” it’s Dika? she beemed before picking the call.
” any news” she said.
” don’t come back to the palace tomorrow again, stay for one week,if possible two weeks and don’t disclose your new house address to anyone”

” okay,thank you for the information”
” bye,bye”
Chidinma dropped the call.
” what did she say?” olive asked.
” hmm Charles is really trying me…I will tell you later,I want to go and do the dishes” dinma left.
” I will join you” olive took a bite of the strawberry moffins and followed her.

Olive prepared dinner while Chidinma cleaned and washed the dishes.
while trying to open the sink tap,the tap burst, the water poured direct on Chidinma.

she tried covering it,instead it got worst.
olive left the cooking and joined hands to hold the place that burst. still not working.

” how do we do it??

just then nonso walked in,he rushed to them and turned it off up..
” it really burst” olive said and glaced up and nonso. Jeeezzz chidinma,I will kill you today you didn’t tell me you have a brother as handsome as this…tall,slim,long sexy neck and well built
” sorry about that” nonso replied without looking.

” I…sis you’re wet” he moved closer to chidinma and used his handkerchief to dab her face and hair.
Olive instantly wished nonso was her brother, he’s so caring…he was well brought up.
” it’s nothing,it will get dried. Can you stop being a baby” Chidinma said.
” I like being your baby” nonso replied and took the towel,he Pat her face dried.

Olive eyes won’t give up.
”its dried already,can you stop now”
nonso didn’t listen, he stopped after he dried the water thoroughly. He faced olive.
” can I dry your fa….
” yes” olive shouted before nonso completed. Chidinma shook her head.
nonso dried her face and left.

” but you didn’t tell me you have an elder brother?” olive started.
Chidinma shook her head…
” sooo???
” (coughs) I like your elder brother” said olive.

” whaaattt? that’s nonso,he’s just 17! Chidinma said.
” whaaattt!! olive said.
she joined Chidinma in laughing.
” jokes apart he’s really attractive…more caring and nicer than you,he pat my face” olive said.
chidinma shook her head. soon they were done preparing dinner.
” you didn’t tell me about your dad” olive requested.
” he’s calm and nice,he’s understanding..lastly he comes home once in a month”
” okay”

they ate dinner and sat in the living room to watch the movie continuation. Mrs uyah returned from her shop late in the night.
” welcome mother” Chidinma took her bag.
” olive are you enjoying yourself? Mrs uyah asked.
” yes ma’am” she answered.

Chidinma dropped her mother’s bag and helped her set her bath in the washroom, she returned and met nonso helping her to take accounts of her stocks.

” how was shop!!
” fine,am really lucky today ooo, someone offered to help me become a multi suplier” Mrs uyah said, chidinma’s mind drifted to Charles, no doubt it was him.

” what’s the name on the business card?” she asked, nonso collected the card.
” Prince Charles, I heard he’s a philanthropist when did he start being it, I only know of prince Simeon and rema Lucien they are my role models but Charles….” nonso paused.

” what name did you say is on it?
” prince Charles of king city” nonso stated.

” burn the card now,don’t waste time” Mrs uyah stated,angrily.
Chidinma and nonso understand her hatred for the royals,they left her alone.
” ohh kay”.

” am going to bed,if you can’t sleep alone in the guest room you can come stay with me” Chidinma left..

olive joined her in bed. she explained what happened.
I think it’s for a reason,give her time.
Chidinma slept away,olive played online game

a message beeped into the phone.
she opened the message,it was a voice message from rema.
she was tempted to open the message..

” it’s not my message right?
” you have a message,from rema. I think it’s important,he sent another one”

” let me see…”
Chidinma opened the voice message.
” jeeez rema is outside the compound” olive said.

🎚️ obim,we will see tomorrow. Not tonight…

🎚️ if you like yourself,leave that door and go, I will see you tomorrow.

meanwhile rema still stood at the door.. he was wearing simple. A cool yellow t- shirt, a dark jeans trouser, plus a black face cap to conceal his identity . his foot wear was classical the base was pure gold, his left hand has a diamond bead while the other was bare. His skin was unmarred.

he beeped,his car with the key from where he stood.
🎚️ okay bye,I love you! he said still facing the door.
🎚️ I love you too, Don’t overstress your voice!
Chidinma replied.

the door suddenly open,revealing Mrs uyah.

” excuse me,who are you looking for!!
she asked as he looked at rema from head to toe.
” good even…
” who are you looking for??
