Stanley released the deep breath he had been holding as he entered the huge KFC with Chidinma by his side. He looked like he is engrossed in the phone was looking at,but he had been stealing glances at chidinma all along.
He enjoys looking in her face.

“We are here” Chidinma said, facing Stanley. She caught him staring at her.
“hmm…I…okay”he starmmered,dinma shook her head, she smiled at him. She actually saw it as nothing,not like it’s the first time a guy will stare at her like that.

“Okay,buy anything you want. Bills on me as promised”he finally found his voice.
“Anything I want,what if I want everything” she replied him,looking around. The place was huge,classy and kind of crowded.
“Well,I promised you already” Stanley said,he got a grip on himself.
“Okay,I want that” Chidinma pointed and walked towards there. Stanley followed her behind to the grilled chicken section.

“Remember,you said anything” she stated.
“Well…….” Stanley wanted to talk, Chidinma cuts in.”are you sure you can pay my bills”
“Sure” he cooled.

”you are really trying me” Chidinma muttered and started pointing to expensive things,both the ones that are useful and the unuseful ones.
” I want that,that one too,and that, and that,yes that one too. 3pack of cold stones,strawberry flavor. You can add the vanilla flavor also, add five extra cups,two chocolate flavors….and…” Chidinma paused and looked at Stanley.
Can he really pay?

The attendant passed her the bills, she saw the amount and smiled knowing fully well that Stanley wouldn’t have the money.

“Oops here” Stanley dropped his credit card without checking the bills.
” 600,000 in naira” the attendant uttered,she was a white.
” take 700,000″ Stanley said.
Chidinma widened her eyes at him.

whaaattt!!! He really paid it.
She watched as the attendant passed her the receipt and handed her the packaged bags which Stanley carried.

Chidinma sighed and followed him out to the car. She suddenly felt bad.

”who knows if he used all the money in his account to get those things for me? I was only joking with him so he wouldn’t pay then I can use my money to pay”

Stanley beeped the car,chidinma entered the front seat. Stanley kept the stuffs at the back seat and turn around to enter the driver’s seat.
There was silence as he started driving to the airport,their flight back was already booked and the plane will soon take off.

“hmm Stanley…” She started.
“Yes honey,do you need anything? I will get it for you” he said.
Chidinma widened her eyes,she suddenly felt uncomfortable.

“I..I hope I didn’t drain your pocket too much. You should give me your account number let me transfer the money back to you or you can stop the car at any nearby bank,I will withdraw and—-”

Stanley smiled. He knew the game Chidinma was playing with him and besides he promised her. He knew she must be thinking he wants something else from her.

”you should write your account number,I feel soooo-”

”uncomfortable right?” Stanley asked.
Chidinma nodded.

”well I paid doesn’t mean I want something in return from you. Okay fine,I admire you,or can’t I admire my brother’s girlfriend?. I just like you,I love you” Stanley cooled.
Chidinma blinked her lashes,she just didn’t know what to say.

He called Rema,brother.
Are they related?.

”you are different,I wouldn’t lie I hate you when I first saw you” Stanley stated.

“Whaaattt?”
“Yes,I hate you before because I didn’t want rema to enter the same mess again. When he was dating Nora,I warned him that she’s doesn’t worth him and he knows I don’t like Nora when he was dating her then”.

Chidinma sighed. She had totally forgotten who Nora was.
She stared at Stanley,she still don’t know what to say.

”you said you hated me before,what changed your mind?” She asked.
” well,you cured rema’s blindness and you accepted him when he acted poor. If you can accept him when he acted poor,obviously you wouldn’t break him now that you discover he’s somebody”he stated, matter of factly.

”Nkem likes you too,all of us likes you. I will always notify you if Rema cheats” he said. Chidinma smiled.
”okay thank you for that,I still need to return the money”
” am not poor okay,my salary hits 4million naira every month” he cooled.

After a long process, they settled in rema’s private jet while the guards handled their lugage.
Chidinma took pictures for the main time.

“get out of my way” Charles said, menacingly to the guards who stood in front of a popular commercial complex at Germany. He already knew Rema was in,he had decided to come and see him since he found out the king had been looking for him.
Queen chiamaka had lied to the king that she doesn’t know about rema’s whereabouts.

“It’s not allowed,no one goes to meet my boss with bodyguards” nkem said.

”says who?” Charles asked.

”charles jewel,my boss privacy is very important,you can see him alone without your body guards, thank you” Stanley added.

“Did you just call me by my name?”
Charles rants,they were really disrespecting him.

”or is that not his name?” Kelly chirped in.

”move out of my way!” Charles said

”if you insist on coming in with your bodyguards then you can take your leave” rema said,appearing at the door. Charles scoffed at his sight.

”ohh I can see you gave your guards the order to stand before me and disrespect me” Charles said.

Rema looked at his guards calmly then back to charles.”my guards are not disrespectful but why are your guards looking so malnourished and unkept” rema asked,looking over to Charles guards. They looked so starved they could pass for a gatekeeper and even his own gatekeeper are well fed.

Charles scoffed,he came here to mock Rema,make him feel bad but instead the tables are turned.

” And why do you have to go out with so much guards?” rema asked,taking his lower lips in slightly.

” his bad deeds are much so he doesn’t feel safe” nkem laughed.

”Rema did you see the one at the back” Kelly pointed to the guard who stood behind Charles,he looked so frail and thin.
” he look 16 and not well fed” nkem laughed.
” well,our dog is 6month old” Stanley reminded,Charles face right now was red.
”right! Our dog is 6month old and it’s so built,I only think Charles guards needs more diet” nkem cooled.

”its okay guys,before they leave make sure bethel write a check of $100,000 to them each” rema finally spoke.
Nkem nodded.

” I’m so sorry guys, we didn’t mean to mock you all”stanley apologize to Charles guards.

Rema walked away,he wouldn’t allow Charles push him like a bushbaby anymore.

”several companies of mine are being targeted. Is that you?” Charles blocked his way.

”you have been acting so aggressively in the business community so clean your mess” rema took his hand away he already knew what Charles wanted to talk about *the king is looking for him*,Charles cast him a hard glare.

”You don’t need to be wild,I will never let father find me” rema finally said. He hated that Charles was being petty.

”like I care?”
”if you don’t care,why did you come to find me?” rema asked.
”well,I came to warm you off Chidinma. I met her first”

Rema lit his eyes up at the mention of her name.
”that girl is mine because I saw her first” Charles stated.

”okay,have you told her about it?” rema stated,acting like he doesn’t care. Chidinma is his weakness and he will never allow him find out about his weakness.

”have you told her about it? I can help you tell her if you don’t mind” he stated.

”what game are you playing? you will always be a cunning fox” Charles sneered.

”ohh my god! I’m scared” rema laughed jokingly. He walked out,the jet will take off in the next 40minutes.

Mrs Uyah waited patiently at the airport to receive her daughter. Her husband was home already and she had lied that Chidinma followed her to get somethings.
She can’t tell him about her daughter’s relationship with a royal now.

After waiting for an extra hour,the announcer came to inform her.
”thank you” she smiled and carried her bag.
She showed the announcer their flight number,the woman nodded and told her to follow her.

After a long walk,she sighted Chidinma. She almost didn’t recognize her own daughter.

”mama” Chidinma ran into her arms
”good evening ma’am” rema showed up from behind. Mrs Uyah left Chidinma and hugged rema who kissed her cheeks.
”how was your trip?” she questioned.
”fine,next time I will take you along” he cooled.
Mrs Uyah smiled and boarded a cab.

”my driver just arrived,he will drop-

”dont worry my son,the cab is okay” Mrs Uyah interrupted.
”mom you didn’t bring your car along” Chidinma whispered as her mother held her hand to the cab.
”your father is back,I actually lied” Mrs Uyah explained.
”am sorry mom” Chidinma apologized. She packed her things and the stuffs she bought back at Germany,the ones she could pack, her mom was in a hurry,she left the rest and joined her in the cab.

”Why didn’t you just tell Dad about it,what if he later finds out by himself,he will be more mad” Chidinma said.
”For now,don’t tell him anything else you won’t see rema again”

The drive back was kinda slow, they didn’t return home until midnight.
Mrs Uyah paid the cab man while Chidinma packed her stuffs and the bags. She wondered how she would go in with so much bags without him suspecting.

What if he decides to check her stuffs??.

Mrs Uyah opened the door,Chidinma hastily moved the stuffs into her room. Olive and nonso were up,it was as if they planned it with her mother.
Her stuffs were moved in within seconds.

She felt relieved. Olive smiled at her.
”thank you” she muttered.
”that was a relief,let’s go to bed” olive replied.
Chidinma nodded and they both took the stairs.

She took a long warm bath and changed into a similar night wear with olive. What she needed right now was a good sleep.

She wore her foam slippons and hurried to the kitchen with the coldstones so they won’t melt. After storing them well,she turned on the fridge.

”am home,goodnight” she answered rema’s call and quickly ended the call.
”how was it?” Mrs Uyah came in from behind.
”very interesting” she beamed.
”did he treat you well?” Mrs Uyah questioned.
”very well” Chidinma nodded.
”how did he treat you?” Mrs Uyah questioned.
The night he disvirgined her stupidly replayed in her memory.
”he treated me well” she replied, nervously.
”how??” Mrs Uyah aaked
”we went out,and had so many funs” she replied.
”is that all?”
”well,yes”
”you are sure that’s all?” her mom asked again while dropping her favorite cookie for her.

Chidinma widened her eyes,what exactly does her mom want to ear?
